C8 Corvette: How To Detail Engine Like a Pro

This is how I clean and detail the engine bay of my 2021 Chevrolet C8 Corvette Stingray. This is an easy DIY project that is time consuming but its very rewarding when you open the engine lid and see your 6.2L V8 looking brand new. I use Meguair's Hyper Dressing diluted 4:1, this will leave a nice satin finish that wont attract dust and will look nice and clean for a long time.

It's stiff enough to get into the hard to reach crevices of the engine cover but it doesnt scratch the finish on the engine cover. I use a boar hair brush for wheels and exterior paint and these ones mostly for interiors like vents or anywhere thats hard to reach.

If you want to keep your engine dry and have less, install Speedway Composites rain and debris diverters. Makes cleaning your car much easier and it stays cleaner.

Hello Serhan, excuse my ignorance, but doesn't the engine or any electrical component (I'm sure it has many) be damaged by getting it wet with the hose or in a car wash? greetings...

I usually cover the alternator and someti disconnect battery but that wasn't needed on the C8. The alternator is located down low on the engine.

Congrats. Here is what I used: Soap: Mothers Carnuba Soap Foamer: IK Brush: S Microfiber Polyester soft Detail Brush Dressing: Meguiars Hyper Dressing Blower: Shelandy Auto Dryer (bought on Amazon)
