Cab Ride - Eastleigh East Yard to Woking 

7 weeks of no internet since moving house. I recorded this weeks ago but couldn’t upload it. I finally got reconnected this week! The next part of the journey, Woking to Redhill via Guildford, is just being worked on now and should hopefully be uploaded by next weekend

Bit of a backlog I’m afraid where I was without internet for 7 weeks!

Passenger trains have been cut back a bit due to light loadings. But you still normally see plenty of freight on that section

I don’t think I’d have had a passenger train. Only reason I say that is the machine does 60mph and the EMUs would be doing 100mph. So something would have gone passed around Basingstoke. So yes, the 66 probably not best pleased. Our machines have a kettle, so when the signaller told me the other day we had a 20 minute wait, I was like “perfect, time for a brew!”

It’s certainly on the cards, but don’t know whether it’s happened already

I have put some film up taken in darkness, but you can’t really see a lot. Check out my “East Croydon to Haywards Heath” video. I’m not sure there’s much merit in recording them, but can do more if people would like to see them

@@emmo999 Thanks for the reply. Freight Rambler ran a channel very similar to yours in similar locales south of London, although recent clips were taken from a head-worn camera. Very recently, all footage has been removed from their site, and... I've just discovered... the site has apparently been renamed to Railway 66. The move seemed quite sudden - and perhaps a bit troubling.

Yes, that was a 73. GBRf have a fair few 73s, and a significant number of them have had new engines and electrics to bring to more modern standards. These are now the 73/9 class

The other move you saw was a class 57/37 movement. To be fair, both these movements were rare, rather than the norm!

quite a good 'cop' for a day out, two 'sheds,' an ED, a bodysnatcher and a Tractor plus two bits of plant !

As well as their 'own' 73s, GBRf have some in CS Livery for operating the Caledonian Sleeper 'north' of Edinburgh (only to Inverness at the moment).

@@emmo999 I do not have any issue with anybody using RU-vid in that way but I feel that perhaps adds at the beginning and one half way through, as many others do, is ok but seven I felt was a tad too many. Please note this is just my opinion. Your videos are still among the best. Jim

I didn't realise they could be manually set. I have now reduced the number of adverts considerably, and will be more vigilant of this on future uploads
