I made this for your recipe. My husband didn’t like it but my neighbors loved it

I vave your cabbage casserole in the oven, right now. I didn't have a full cup of butter, and also. I warned up 1/3 of a package of cream cheese in there as a substitute. I am really looking forward to trying it. I hope my family lovers it also.

Or fried okra! My mom does 1/2 selfrising flour n 1/2 fine white cornmeal salt n pepper n water to consistency u want. Thicker or thinner n drop by spoonfuls into deep cast iron pot with hot oil. Everybody asks my mom to cook the cornbread/hushpuppies for whatever occasion. One of our preacher friends asks her to their family reunion to make cornbread. N its so simple n yet so good! I think I may add part if a grated sweet onion to it for the old seafood restraints style/flavor of hushpuppies. I love your videos n recipes! U r a bright spot in our day in alot of our lives!

I have one where you cut up a medium head of cabbage, put in roaster, fry a pound of hamburger, put on top of cabbage, dump 2 cans of tomato soup on top, season to taste. Bake at 350 until cabbage is done. Stir every so often. I would say around 45-to an hour. Just make sure cabbage is soft. Delicious.

I took a Food Science class in college in 1985. The required textbook had a recipe for cabbage casserole. It's purpose was to teach us how to make a white sauce. No canned soup in that class! Otherwise, it was very similar. I still love it 40 years later. Holy cow..... 40 years. Where did the time go?

2:46 Rough cut small cabbage 3:43 seperate it 4:29 put cabbage in 9x13 cassorole dish. 5:05 cut in more cabbage to fill in dish 7:06 add a large cut up onion on top 9:53 1 can cream of chicken soup in a bowl, add 1 cup of mayo. Add 1/2 stick melted butter to bowl. Mix well. Salt and pepper ontop of onions. 12:54 pour mixture on top of onions . 13:26 spread mayo mixture around on top. 14:07 melt 1 stick butter in a pan. 15:24 1 cup grated cheese and one pack of ritz crackers (smash crackers). Put in a bowl. 17:15 pour butter over one sleeve ofthe smashed ritz cracker and 1 cup cheese. Mix together. 18:15 Put on top of the cabbage dish as a top layer. Spread over the top. (350 degrees-45 minutes or brown and bubbly) Needs to be brown and bubbly. Could be more then 45 minutes.
