The country is waiting on President Cyril Ramaphosa to announce his new cabinet. The political executive of the sixth administration ceased to exist on Wednesday, last week when Ramaphosa took his oath of office at his inauguration in Pretoria. Currently South Africa has been without a cabinet since, then. The establishment of a Government of National Unity, so far consists of nine political parties. We are now joined virtual by the Professor of Politics and International Relations at University of Johannesburg, Prof Siphamandla Zondi,

In this rightwing coalition we are in for a circus if it last six months let alone 5 years hence Hellen Zille is now instructing 40% Ramaphosa ANC what to do or not to do and now the lame duck ramaphosa cannot appoint any minister or cabinet before Hellen Zille approval.

We cannot walk away. The voice of 3.5m did is not vote for us to walk away. The ANC, as expected, still think they are in charge. It's, unfortunately, again a case of greed and power, that's why they called on others to join. It is ludicrous to call on parties who had less than 0.45% of the national vote.

@harley1450ification This is not about inclusivity. This is the voice of over 3.5m voters, of which 70% is black who voted for a fluid, non-racial democracy with strong oversight and engagement. The ANC, being corrupt as they are, are now including partners who have similar immoral behaviors and who would help sustain their looting.

@@oswaldbarnes5861 Everybody has a voice including the exclusive DA and FF+, EFF and MK. The people have spoken. You speak about a %. Those percentages are why we in such deep 💩. The Western Cape, the so-called "Best run Province" is a maelstrom of inequality, while the whites live in gilded cages and are blind to the needs of the biggest voter fodder base of the DA. There's a % for you of abandoned and impoverished people in their ancestral land. That vote is changing. Get used to it. The ANC is the other side of that coin, so we need other voices there to watch ANC and DA like hawks.
