I love how the "reporter" refers to the old packaging as plastic but the new one is "30% recycled packaging". It's still plastic, just with some recycled plastic in there. Same exact after-effects of microplastics as the old packaging, if not a little worse because recycled plastic does not hold up as well, so it could disintegrate (NOT decompose - just go into tiny microplastic pieces) even faster.
They used grant $ to do this packaging shift? What a waste. Fire your PR dept. Make sure you put a nice fat "♻" logo on there so people feel better when it shows up in the trash or ocean.
So basically they're still wrapping their cheese and plastic just no bpe's and s*** like that and how they're going to have to raise the cost of their cheese because they went automated to keep up with demand
