The new version appears to be great, thanks Stephen! It took me a while to get my head around how to rotate, but I've got it now. If anyone else is struggling: left-click on your pivot, shift-left click on your second point (not the same as the pivot) then left-click again and the axis wheels (red, green and blue) will appear and you can enter letters to change them.
Rotation and scale start by a 1 to 3 steps to move + orient pivot: 1 Move pivot 2 Orient x axis while keeping y horizontal 3 Orient y axis At each step you may early exit by holding shift while pressing the left mouse button Then pick a start point and end point.

How can you do a uniform scaling AND entering a value ? the ALT key seems to block entering numbers and I can't figure a workaround EDIT : ALT key is only blocking my numpad, so it is still possible to use the number keys instead (which may require to hold shift as well). A bit tedious but it works
Thank you for the documentation! Is it possible to rotate a plane around an edge, so that the starting point of the rotation intersects with another plane?
I think not yet, maybe for simple works, but I keep my fingers crossed for development of these addons. However, I already turned away completely from SketchUp and switched 100% to Blender for hardsurface modelling, but I still do most archi models and documentation in Archicad (also because clients sometimes want stuff done specifically in Archicad). But no doubt, the future of Blender is bright!
projecting a random 3d transformation onto a 2d space is not that hard, but handling edge cases like rotations while keeping clean and simple code definitely is not an easy task.
@@StephenLeger I did but I still can't make it work like before. 2 pint rotate and scale, doesn't work. it's usules for me... I really wish it could work like the old one. I use it all the time.
@@StephenLeger thank you for the answer! But I'm about uniform scale. For example, I have cube 2x2x2 meters and I need a cube that is 0.5x.0.5x0.5 meters. I press "S" choose first vertex than second vertex and if I enter the target distance (0.5 meter) it work only in X and Y axes, but Z axes is the same. If I press ALT it work, as I want, but I can not enter the target distance while hold ALT. Maby I don't understand something, if you can explaine this to me I would be happy!
