Caerleon 5 miler is a lovely, quick out and back course starting at the Roman Amphitheatre and heading out along mostly path and a small section into the wooded area...this is mostly flat and gives you a good chance at a quick time.
I entered this due to doing the first ever running of the event the previous year, and enjoyed it so much i came back...and I will keep coming back.
A lovely warm June evening with over 300 people running, it was split into two waves...I went in the first wave... the reasoning I believe for the waves was due to the start being narrow and allowing everyone to run safely... There was an added bonus to cheers from fellow runners as we went past at the start cheering each other on.
Lovely support and lovely encouragement from all... as I said I will be back for more 5 milers.
