Normally i cant find a lot of guinea pig channels that actually do the right care but your channel is the best one I’ve seen! I also love guinea dad and little adventures

Ok you gave me some great ideas. I have 3 cages and I have bought liners from kavee that were super expensive and very heavy for my washer . My problem with using the materials that you use was i knew the piggies would burrow under it. I NEVER thought of using the clips. It on now !! Thanks so much
Yeah my mom sewed some fleece for me and i used moving blankets from Walmart and the worked great but our machine broke because it was too thick of a job and i just adopted a buddy for my guinea pig and I’m going to have to change it more regularly so I think I’m going to try the reusable pads

Where did you get that litter box? I feel like it’s so hard to find one that’s big enough but also has an opening like that so they can get in and out.
Hi! The litterbox on the left side of the cage is a cat cube off amazon! And the other one that doesn't have the tall sides/top is the sophresh small dog litterbox from petco!
How is anti-pill different than blizzard fleece?Also I love your videos! I think it’s great that you are spreading good information about how to treat piggies!❤️❤️❤️ Ps- also where did you get the hay station in the corner? I love it!
I am actually not sure about the difference! I have just always used anti-pill and have heard about that one the most. I got the hay station on the right (the cube) off amazon! It is actually like a cat toy! You can just search cat toy cube and you should be able to find something similar!!💕💕
How much fleece do we need for 1 Midwest cage? I’ll go grab some tomorrow. I also added the pads to my Amazon cart too. This is so much more affordable

Hi, please make sure you are getting two guinea pigs of the same gender, I recommend females. They get very lonely by themselves. If you can't adopt two, then don't adopt one. As I said in this video, you want anti-pill or blizzard fleece and you want to wash it to "wick" it so the pee goes through and doesn't sit on top
Is a litter box needed or does it really help with poop/pie? Adopting 4 month old female piggies and wasn't sure if I should get a litter box or just stick to getting a hay bag to eat hay from and just let them poop whenever and spot clean daily. Thanks!
It’s really up to you! I like a litterbox because it contains the hay, and because piggies tend to poo and pee most while they’re eating, the majority of the waste ends up there as well. This means there’s less stuff to spot clean and the fleece lasts longer!
@@autumngrace. Thanks I got a litter box and really like it. Makes cleaner easier. I bought 1.5 yard no pill fleece from Walmart and have 1 midwest cage for now. Did you just cut that in half and only one layer in the cage on top of absorbent layer when you had just one cage? Or do you just fold in half and put that in the cage as two layers? Also can you share what size binder clips work best?
@@monicavalk2118 I'm glad!! With my one midwest I usually just folded the fleece in half and used two layers! But you could cut it if you'd like and technically have two fleece blankets. I don't use a specific kind of binder clip but I would just go with a medium size or you could get a variety pack. Hope this helps!
@@autumngrace. Thanks I thought about cutting it in half but worried it would come out not even or not the same size haha! So may do the two layers since they are wicked it shouldn't cause it issue it sounds like. I guess I may just have to cur extra off and measure good if too long. Did you do it the same way with 2 cages the 2 fleece layers just with the 3 yards instead of 1.5 yards? Thanks!
I have a guinea pig abs my cage has theses stairs cause it’s an outdoor one and my guinea pig won’t stop pooping at the bottom of the stairs there’s so much and she even has a cat litter box full of hay but she dosnt do her Business there is there anyway I can stop this
Honestly I’m not sure there is a way to stop her, Some piggies just pick their place and that’s that. But you could try moving the poo at the bottom of the stairs into her litterbox over and over and that could help

do i have to potty train my guinea pig? I recently got a guinea pig but i’m so stressed because i feel like a bad owner and i don’t think im doing much right
no you don’t need to potty train at all! My girls pee/poo mostly in their litterbox Bc they eat there but they also go all over the cage! I just sweep up the poos every day. I’m sure you’re doing great let me know if u have more questions!!
@@_aaliyah2yuuu584 if you’re going to be using fleece in your cage I recommend a litter box! However if you’re going to be using bedding in your whole cage then you don’t need a separate area. Hope this makes sense!
The first several times I cleaned my cage I had to wait for everything to wash and dry and the boys were on the floor like “girl it’s been 2 hours if you don’t put me back rn….”
@@autumngrace. after a few weeks of that I’m like I need to get another set immediately. it felt like it was all taking longer to dry like every week too 😅😅😅
