***** lol its because an empty bathroom has the most reverb. Bathrooms are known for great reverb bc of the ceramic and hard surfaces. The more bodies, furniture etc. the more sound is absorbed and less reflection effect occurs. That is what they are getting at...
TheMillenniumEnforcer thinking about this musically, a dumpsters small, enclosed but reflective upon waves, it would probobly sound amazing in a dumpster
At first I thought it was another one of those (like “this and this song playing in an empty bathroom at a party”)randomly specific edits But turns out it’s just a cool video
Music is one of those things that when you learn to be patient with it, practice, then it is something that helps through dark times, encourages happy times, and calms nerves. It stays, truly.
Oh yeah, but that's usually by design A studio will want to have the sound neutral and then add the effects after recording. But sometimes people still go to cool locations and record there
yeah but you wouldn’t want everything to echo which is why recording studios are the exact opposite and if they’re really fancy they’ll have a room dedicated to reverb
We caught Cage the Elephant's Matt Shultz warming up for a performance. Watch this impromptu acoustic version of "Cigarette Daydreams," sung in the bathroom of his dressing room.
***** The fact he is up against the bathroom wall and bobbing his neck up and down while strumming his pelvis... as the camera peeks around tile corners and above bathroom stalls points to...
Matthew Sudiyono Matt Shultz has a better singing range, and I like his music a lot better. Nirvana songs always seemed really lazily written to me and frankly Kurt can't really sing, which is about what most people should expect from a heroin addict. That being said, I did like the song 'About a Girl', but overall I've never understood what people see in Cobain.
well you're not wrong about the singing range. but the thing with cobain is his impact on the world. He was revolutionary in grunge music and the perspective of the world. and the fact that you like his musci better is of course opinion i respect that. but cobain is legendary as an artist.
Dude in stall next to Matt: "Can you pass some tp, i'm all out here?" Matt: "ok, no problem, wait second while I get my guitar" Dude: "wait what, no bro, I just need-" Matt: "Did you stand there all alone? Oh I cannot explain whats going down...." Dude: "oh buddy, you don't wanna know what's going down."
amithinks "We caught Cage the Elephant's Matt Shultz warming up for a performance. Watch this impromptu acoustic version of 'Cigarette Daydreams,' sung in the bathroom of his dressing room" Rolling Stones comment when they shared their own video. Also, impromptu means being done without being planned.
One day in college, I was studying in the library with one of my classmates. I passed him my headphones and played this song. That was the moment that our relationship became a little personal... we just got married in June!
This song is so emotionally painful for me to listen to and I have no clue why. For some reason it just stings very sharply and I think that it’s a beautiful but strange occurrence
I can relate. For me this song hurts because it makes me think about the "good times", or at least the times when I used to know who I was. It makes me think about long lost relationships, love, people I'm no longer friends with. It's like this song verifies the thought I've had for a long time; My journey to find purpose in life is all in vain, all I can do is move forward. I can try to look for the answers in a pouring rain, but the fact is that there just isn't one. Pain is a part of being human. The past is never coming back and that makes me feel lost, like I took a wrong turn years ago.. And can't find my way back home.
like yess but the thing is that I've never lost a love or something but I just feel the song and have no idea why it happens all CTE"s songs hit like that
Did you stand there all alone? Oh, I cannot explain what's going down I can see you standing next to me In and out somewhere else right now You sigh look away I can see it clear as day Close your eyes so afraid Hide behind that baby face You can drive all night Looking for the answers in the pouring rain You wanna find peace of mind Looking for the answer Funny how it seems like yesterday As I recall you were looking out of place Gathered up your things and slipped away No time at all I followed you into the hall Cigarette Daydream You were only seventeen Soft speak with a mean streak Nearly brought me to my knees You can drive all night Looking for the answers in the pouring rain You wanna find peace of mind Looking for the answer If we could find a reason, a reason to change Looking for the answer If you could find a reason, a reason to stay Standing in the pouring rain
From a proffessional singer, the three best places ever to sing are: The school bathroom The stairwell The shower Bonus: a literal opera house bc that place was BUILT for people not to have microphones (you never have mics in opera)
Did you stand there all alone? Oh I cannot explain what's going down I can see you standing next to me In and out somewhere else right now You sigh, look away I can see it clear as day Close your eyes, so afraid Hide behind that baby face Do do do do do do You can drive all night Looking for the answers in the pouring rain You wanna find peace of mind Looking for the answer Funny how it seems like yesterday As I recall you were looking out of place Gathered up your things and slipped away No time at all I followed you into the hall Cigarette daydream You were only seventeen So sweet with a mean streak Nearly brought me to my knees Do do do do do do You can drive all night Looking for the answers in the pouring rain You wanna find peace of mind Looking for the answer If we can find a reason, a reason to change Looking for the answer If you can find a reason, a reason to stay Standing in the pouring rain Do do do do do Do do do do do Do do do do do Do do do do do You can drive all night Looking for the answers in the pouring rain You wanna find peace of mind Looking for the answer If we can find a reason, a reason to change Looking for the answer If you can find a reason, a reason to stay Standing in the pouring rain
Wow that sounded pretty good. So playing guitar is now the new number 3. Well got to go take a number one in the royal throne and while im at it a number 3 as well;)
Well, I'd say the number three is already taken by he thing that happens once a month on women. But this is a number 5, because number 4, well, that happens with men and women, in the same stall....
Why does he play a G chord at 0:57 instead of an E minor like every other time they play this. Damn you Matt you confused me when I was trying to learn this!
Actually, that's a B Minor not a G and it is played that way, if you still haven't learned the song, check out Fickle Mistress's video on it, that's how I learned it
2 years ago I was in Bowling Green Kentucky leaving the bar Hilligan's and there was no one in site and out of NOWHERE... This mother F'er comes walking at me all alone in nothing but a pair of blue overalls wearing an old timey train conductors hat.. blew my mind. Guy was so chill and gives ZERO fucks. I've met him twice before that, but that one stuck with me lol. Fricken legend.
Yeah that's the funny thing about a lot of music, especially most commonly rock, you don't have to have an exceptional voice, it's mostly about finding a style for what you've got. Not saying everyone can sing, but you don't have to sound like Freddy Mercury to be a singer. That's what I think anyways
It's all a matter of making it work for your music. Matt makes it work for Cage the Elepehant, like Jack White Made it work for The White Stripes e.t.c it's more about finding your common ground, just a little practice
Eu amo muito Cage The Elephant É a banda que tras músicas nostálgicas, românticas, tristes, esperançosas. O estilo, a voz, sonoridade, batidas... ❤❤❤❤❤ Eu simplesmente amo tudo.

You toss your cigarette out , head towards the restroom. You pace down the hall n swing open the door., go for the wall. ... you relieve yourself... pssssssssssss “ you stand there alone” “ you stand there alone”-sssssssssss “you stand there all alone “sssssss” you stand there all alone “ you stand there all alone “... you stand there all alone “ssss zzzziiiiippppp what the fuck “you stand there all alone “
Every one of the top like 15 comments is some cheesy joke. Yet I'm just in awe watching this based off the sheer emotion in this performance. He turns progressively more red as the song goes on. An incredible amount of passion went into writing this song.
