at 41:00 : single players usually can get up quickly after they dived because their opponents may take some times to hit the shuttle and it actually depends on where you return the shuttle but in double you have two opponents covering their court and it is twice the speed of single game because wherever you return the shuttle there are opponent covering the front and the back of their court (double attacking formation) and you have no time to get up and even if you can you have to return the shuttle at the same time compare to single game opponent have to run before they hit the shuttle unless you return the shuttle back to where they are currently standing

Ko is really an absolute smash machine but Cai and Fu turned them so well in set 2 that Ko barely had any chance to perform his full-power smashes which is only second to Ahsan

when he was serving, his racket was above his waist, so the commentator said it had to be pointing down

you obviously don't understand the pace of this sort of doubles game. There is NO way Ko had any chance of getting up inbetween those blocks he was playing off the floor. He had a far better chance of retrieving them off the floor than he was if he was mid way getting up. It's more tactical to stay on the floor ready for it. The chances are, if he's in that position, he'll lose the rally anyway but he's got more chance of winning the rally playing off the floor like that.

Very unfair comment at 41:50. It is very hard to get up at doubles games as there're two players on the other side. The time needed for the opponent to reach a shuttle is way shorter than in a singles game. And one they see you are on the floor? The shuttle will go to nowhere else but to rain on you. However it's true the Koreans lost their spirit in the second game.

KSH and LYD pairing was a disaster because LYD mentally breaks easier than YYS. YYS is highly underrated in terms of how much he contributes to the Korean national team. He isn't as solid here as he is when he paired with LYD but he truly helps LYD come alive.

@@upy0ur5 How's LYD mentally breaks easier than YYS ? if you watch LYD/KSH after the olympics you would know KSH was the weak link by far, ahsan/setiawan beat them so many times simply by targeting KSH a lot and KSH simply can't cope with that pressure. I think playing with the most talented player in the korean team also put pressure on KSH, he's too afraid of LYD imo.

@@langsz LYD cracks really hard when he personally makes mistakes and it's adding fuel to the fire when his partner is not consistent. It's written all over his face every game. YYS seems to bounce back better. Not saying LYD is the worst of the 2 but he always does great with players who are mentally strong enough to bounce back from losing leads. Such examples are JJS and YYS who clearly aren't as good skill wise as LYD but mentally much stronger. Just like LCW is better than LD in the later years by physical ability but LD is mentally much stronger than LCW. KSH is very good skill wise and has great ideas but I never said KSH carries LYD. He's way too inconsistent to carry anyone. Ask KHN, his mixed partner.

the reason why korea lost the match is Ko's loss of confidence. Whenever the player sits on the floor to catch the birdie, he should get back up as fast as possible for the next incoming shot. And since earlier Ko had failed to hit the birdie over the net, he ruined the whole game even tho his partner tried hard to catch up the points. On the other hand, China never give up and keep on going even tho sometimes missed the shots. China Rules！
