That smash is debated though. It was Tan Boon Heong that set that 'record', but it was not in play. It was at a test facility for Yonex, and the bird was in a stationary position for him to hit it. Fu Haifeng set the OFFICIAL world record in a game, which was 332km/hr, or about 206mph, which is a more impressive feat given the unpredictable flight pattern of a shuttlecock during play.

Having played rugby, football, cricket, tennis and badminton, all to fairly reasonable levels, I can confidently say that badminton is by far the hardest, in terms of sheer physical demand and also skill.

Did you actually listen to what she said? At the time where Cai and Fu were losing in the second game, she said that Kim was playing well, and that he was not a weakness, therefore the Chinese should play their normal game as the best strategy. She felt that Chinese players were not as effective in their own game because they were focusing on attacking Kim Sa Rang, rather than going for their normal shots. How about you try listening to her. =]

I agree, she sounded like she didn't want China to win and too busy sympathizing Korea team. Being an announcer for international event like this, it's very important to sound neutral. Otherwise, she should just shut up, sit at the side bunch and join one of the fans.
