It’s out of control at this point. Notice that they “ALWAYS” have a black woman to be an antagonist for Clark(protagonist) to continue to prop her up. They make it a point to claim black women are jealous of her, which is her largest obstacle to overcome. Furthermore, black women should rejoice in the fact that Clark as enters the WNBA because they can now get off of the proverbial welfare( low wages) of before. Further, solidifying Clark’s status as the “face” of the WNBA. This is because they-whoever they are-can’t have a black woman as the star(protagonist) to make millions before a white woman. Once she makes millions then and only then will black women be allowed to make millions off of basketball. They did this very thing in the NBA. It was about to go out of business but they had black men make it popular so Larry Bird could be Face of the league. Unfortunately, Magic was there( he was the antagonist) then Michael Jordan came and they just couldn’t make the narrative stick. Simone Biles and Gabby went through the same thing.
