What's hard to understand? I'd have watched it since it's the Olympics, and the hype on her. I have zero interest in basketball, let alone woman's basketball as most people do with female basketball. I watched young a LeBron in 04 for the Olympics, and have never watched him in the NBA besides highlights. I don't like the sport, but intrigue got me which would have been the case here with many. It's simple for most, since really nobody watches Woman & people wanted to see her for same reasons as any young hyped player people want to see, curiosity. They had a chance for people to test the water with a known name especially outsiders as Europe. They killed the Golden goose for people interested in her, that would have possibly gotten people interested in the others as well. NBA grew because of the 92 Olympics around the world, especially with Jordan & team U.S.A. being marketed perfectly.
