They did it from the outset and it looked bad, but Angel has been taunted all season by other players... and Caitlin did it... but in that moment the TV commentators really made Angel look like a bully... you may say Angel made herself look like a bully, but Caitlin was celebrated for doing it when she did it. The TV commentators loved it when Caitlin did the gesture, but they were not going to laugh or show that same attitude with Angel... and it made it so easy to hate a great player who was letting off some steam. Caitlin may just get the last laugh, but sports are a microcosm of society. All the feelings and biases we have in normal life, we bring into sporting events. When Barack Obama was elected president, a black supervisor at my job told us to be muted in our celebrations. Don't rub it in. Yet when Trump was elected 8 years later, if the white employees were told to not celebrate, they didn't get the memo... they yelled from the rafters and let us hear about it. We're seeing the exact same thing in sports. I'm embarrassed that I. As a black man, hated Angel Reese in that moment because the TV commentators were narrating it that way. She's bad. She's wrong. She's a bully. No, she's a Champion and so is Caitlin Clark. There's room at the top. It was a sporting event not a murder trial, folks

Great player, but really unlikable to many people. Incredible scorer, shooter and passer, but her legacy also includes a lot of flops and arrogancy towards others. Not of fan of what the LSU players did to Iowa and Clark at the end, but there is a reason why Clark gets that type of reaction of many opposing players.

She had no choice but to respond the way she did because she knows she deserved it.
