I think they do love each other in a purely platonic way. I think Sam is homosexual which is why there's is a platonic relationship. Whatever!?! It's a beautiful relationship.
He literally isn't tho, he's had plenty of girlfriends, and dated another girl this year, people just can't accept him and Caitriona aren't together and come up with theories... It's so disrespectful to force a sexuality on someone and people have done that to him multiple times if affects the relationship with his girlfriends because people have attacked them too, it's ridiculous.
