Very good point.. as of today is about every 12 days for a reward. Combine that with Flux value halving in the Bear Market, financially its just not worth hosting a Cumulus node. The Flux dashboard is saying a Cumulus Node will make ~ 14 Flux, or $8.69 USD self hosting.

Yes, the rewards per block will stay tde same. But probably more people will set up Cumulus nodes. If there are 800 Cumulus you get that reward every 800 blocks. If there are 2000 cumulus you get the reward every 2000 blocks. A Block happens every two minutes on average.

Went here in the hope to find info about the new tier rewards... 24.1$ per month doesn't look that good taking into account that hardware requirements will be higher which means that 7$ VPS will cost almost double.

I think it all depends on the number of nodes. If a cumulis node owner with today 10000 flux, will split the node to 10 nodes with 1000 flux cumulus node each, then the number of nodes increases by 10.

@@reks890 upgrade is possible of course, but then you will need 12500 for Nimbus and even 40000 for Stratus. Whatever the flux node owners will do in March/April i am expecting the number of nodes will increase significantly and rewards will be shared amongst higher number of nodes. Anyway i will give it a try and setup a Cumulus node as a test balloon.

you are correct, however you need to stake to run a node. with so many more nodes comes much more demand for the token and increased staking so reduced supply. these factors should drive the price up (hopefully) for existing token holders. you can expect the number of cumulus nodes to significantly increase as stake goes from 10K FLUX to 1K FLUX so somebody either chooses to buy 2.5K and run a Nimbus or decide to run 10 Cumulus nodes. However most likely folks will try to buy more on open market and step up to larger node.

More nodes, more FLUX locked on nodes, so FLUX market Cap increases and FLUX coin rises price. It is some kind of self-adjusting.

They will do halving in March and Cumulus node will require 1k FLUX. Also Titan project (shared nodes, work like staking) is for those who have less than 1k FLUX, I think 100 Flux will be enough.

@@Knackes67 Thanks, I have over 1k in flux currently in my zelcor wallet, so I think I can buy one of those small nodes, just not sure who sells them. Is there a trusted vendor like for Helium nodes? I haven't seen anyone offering any for sale on ebay or offerup.

Only if ten times as many nodes are spun up and price remains the same..so yes that possible but not likely..more nodes will increase demand..volume..and amount locked off exchanges..all of which increases price

Yes. Payout will be the same, but the frequency will be longer singe there are more nodes or payments. Each payment is at the end of the block, which is 2 minutes. So for example if there are 2000 nodes, each node will get paid every 4000 minutes

@@jgmercedes and you gues it by today price... ... ... if i could stake = (temporarily hold of exchanges and be able to sell it any time) 100k Flux i am already doing it... just waiting for my first 1000, its like you hold it in wallet, but you have put it to node which make litle money and keeping your Fluxes for time the prize is far from 2dolls per one piesce, something like run a node for 4 years ane then sell fluxes :-)
