I've always loved the thought of Essek being shorter than caleb but when he's levitating he's a tiny but taller, it's just adorable too me and I forgot the drow height range and I'm very glad to see that it may not just be a head cannon.
3:05 "if you were to put the very thing I had wondered about for so mamy years in front of me, i'm not sure what my reaction would be." That sentence becomes so much more important based on how things end up, glad to have finally gotten the answer on that one
@@kiieran755 Matt has talked about getting sucked into deep role play with Liam, they work so well together I wanna see how orym is gonna interact with the world Matt is weaving for them now
Oh god thank you (or not) for pointing this out and making me realize that Essek's last comment about how there's usually "just one [wizard] left" at the end could very well be alluding to his and Caleb's vastly different life spans. The PAIN
This is just phenomenal. I love how you designed essek and all the beautiful facial expressions make this scene so perfect. The double meaning of this conversation is portrayed and packed to the brim with GAY WIZARD LONGING. This made my day, thank you :)
Maaaan, I am head over heels in LOVE with this. You captured all the nuances of this conversation so well (and I can’t imagine how long this took! Almost 6 MINUTES of art?! THANK you!!)
The near-miss hand touch is so good, but the real understated moment here is at 4:15 … look at all the other possibilities for them reflected in the walls. It’s just a flash, and it vanishes so quickly that it took me multiple viewings to even notice it.
Caleb over battling hi own demons looking for love with a duty bound time wizard elf... (he falls for caleb as much caleb does for him but he has a mission he must do first. And be hell or high waters he shall complete it) is the vibe C2 wasn't my cup of tea... so much mystery and investigation... and lots pf cjaracter devlopment... so i was constantly off and on about the episodes maybe one day i would sit down and power through them but that day is yet to come
