Here we look Caleb plant vs David Benavidez. A rare and welcome sight, where two top young fighters in their primes have agreed to get it on. 🎙 Narration Credit: www.fiverr.com/share/eNzrLr
Let's not mix mega fight with ppv. It can be a mega fight and do terrible ppv. Why? Because good ppv numbers need the casuals to buy it. This fight won't attract the casuals. Casuals only know floyd, canelo, and pacquio....
THIS WAS WELL PUT TOGETHER!!!! Low key, I wish this was released after their last press conference, so some of that conference could be included in this promo blog
@@derekndIris David needs this fight, Plant doesn't he already made his big money vs Canelo and Benavidez doesn't even have a belt. Meanwhile back when they both had a belt, it was team Benavidez under his manager Sampson publicly saying they'd refuse to fight Plant.
Boxing has put way too much stock and value into Plant’s knockout of Dirrell. Dirrell is practically 40 years old. He was merely a shadow of what he used to be. Knocking him out proved absolutely nothing for Plant.
@@casSthEcrowN Well people keep saying Bradley beat Marquez when Marquez was washed and old and fighting at a weight class where he was small. So people are putting that "win" over Marquez and Pacquiao in high regard. Those "wins" prove nothing for Bradley.
I lean Plant but man I couldn't tell you that in any confidence, hell of a fight that I'm excited to see. Love when boxers finally man up and say I want the top guy
Finally, a decent matchup in boxing. Plant the more technical fighter, and Benavidez being “The Punisher” makes for a good fight. Can’t wait to see this.
@@vince11harris You're not wrong. However, looking at the top names and prospects has been just that- looking. Finally nice to see two big guys clash with no doubts about it happening. Anyway, who you got?? Benavidez's style gets me.
Not that Benavidez confidence seems shaken because it's not, but Plant seems to have a reignited hunger. Sometimes that surpasses everything. Either way, I think it's going to be a great fight!
@@marvin469 Sometimes....yes. not this time. Canelo is not David. Canelo style of fighting is not David's. David is going to make Plant contemplate retirement after this fight. Plant requested a bigger ring size for the fight. You know why? So he can get on his bicycle and run. Plant knows what he's up against. He knows what we all know. He knows that in that ring Benavidez is going fu*k him up unlike he's ever been fu*ked up before.
@@bnwo Plant has better wins than Benavidez at this point. He beat champ Uzcategui back when he was considered dangerous and the betting favorite and just took out Benavidez's biggest win Dirrell in devastating fashion. Also, team Benavidez under his manager Sampson publicly rejected fighting Plant when they were both champs. And how are you going to complain about Plant getting some deserved praise when Benavidez gets hyped for being undisciplined, unmotivated and refusing to unify with the champ under the same company just to fight randos like Angulo?
So that ain’t just me 😂 I’ve been measuring myself im like 6ft 1 barefoot I’m tall but not giant and I was always scratching my head wondering how he looks so tall when he’s apparently 1/2 inch shorter then me.
@@batgoku9 I mean honestly it’s smart I fight ameatur at 201 heavyweight but If people could see my height and stats prior I’d probably put down that I’m like 5’7 so when they fight me and I’m most likely taller then them when they thought I’d be short will catch them off guard.
@@lawrenceusher3073 i use to think that too but after Plant fought Dirrell i think it really is 50/50. i went back and watched the Benivedez vs Dirrell fight and it was actually pretty competitive in the early going
@@chance52694 Benny's only hope is Plant gassing. He's got terrible footwork. Terrible defense. If Plant doesn't gas bad, he's going to win on points for sure. Or maybe he'll go in with intent to knock him out. Who knows. Benny was losing that fight against Dirrell, in my book, until Dirrell got cut.
@@deshawnstrubb he’s good but you gotta realize he loves to spam random combos which can get him caught u ses he loves spamming tht right uppercut plant needs to close the distance and Go for the body as much as he can
Holy shit you make really good videos! I follow a lot of RU-vid boxing and these videos are just A cut above in their content and editing and everything else. Awesome job!
I really hope they do “all access” on showtime for this fight. I also know the press conference is going to be fire because these two literally dislike each other.
Sadly he’s been a washed fighter. He used to have so much energy and power moving around the ring at 160 during his championship rise. It was like watching a mini Marciano seek and destroy. Now he looks tired and sluggish even in the matches he wins. Very solid B+ fighter when he was prime though. He was the kind of guy that determined whether you’re elite or unconscious.
@@lordzooq8987 People like to call guys like them stepping stones. I always preferred gate keeper. Some of the most entertaining fighters are the gate keepers imo.
He was champ and put up of a helluva fight against Canelo and just to fight Canelo you gotta be more then decent. I would say hes excellent. Style like Pernell Whittaker RIP Sweet Pea. Sweet hands time now.
@@E.Carrillo Benevidez is Huge. He 4in taller then everyone at MW. Hes young and powerful too. This is 50/50 for me. But Caleb has the speed and defense to avoid and telegraph David's shoulders so he knows when to defend and move and use angles. Caleb can outpoint David i feel. Canelo is both speed and power. Thats why i knew Caleb would have problems. But i still told folks he is gonna do better then most. And that's exactly what happened.💯🤙
Top Rank, PBC, DAZN all need to pay you to do the promos for their fights. Videos like these would grab the masses attention and bring more eyes to boxing. That editing when waiting on what Caleb plant said after the Dirrell fight was fucking flawless lol..
Hell no. This fight is one of the most expected ever. By haters and lovers alike . in particular by the Mexican fans thinking in the dream of Canelo. Benavidez is special for many reasons. For me because of the chicano deserving a respect as Mexicans brothers. I am Mexican but Benavidez is also a brother. Regardless of artificial borders.
You are a God with this stuff. I thank you for growing our sport. I feel off from watching but I'm back into the videos and sharing them thank you for amazing art work. And I hope to be featured in your videos in the future. Marlin So icey Sims pro Boxer
17:38 the irony of Anthony Dirrell saying "he hurt him with that left hook" ☠️ masterful editing with the audio, video, storylines! Best in the business 💯
D.B. has got a lot to lose as Plant is quite sleek n has solid boxing skillsets. It's a huge challenge for him to keep his ko winning streak rolling strong. It's gonna be a good fight for sure.
I respect both of these dudes. honestly don't know who I'm going for here. I'm a southern boy like Caleb but I dunno... it'll come down to how much respect he can get from Benavidez
Great video as always bro! I love both Benavidez and Plant but I'm gonna pick Benavidez on this one. A win for Benavidez means he'll have to face Canelo, or we'll see a Canelo- Plant 2. Both will be damn great fights.
I am rooting for Caleb! He just needs to use the uppercut more and use hooks to the body along with his jab to keep David at a distance. Caleb by UD or David by KO late. Good fight!
I think the key for Plant is to not f around to much. Use his skills but put the show boat stuff away. The body shot puts anyone down, as does that left hook. But the key to winning is touching B with enough stuff to make those shots available. Win on points until you can get the great shot in. That’s the out boxing skill he’ll have to show to win this. I wasn’t aware B had been floored. To me that shows a chink in the armor. I lean towards B but I think it’s doable for Plant with the right game plan.
@@msjesse0711 I watched a tell of the tape and their reach is the same basically. That shouldn’t be any issue. On top of that B comes forward so finding him with the jab isn’t going to be an issue for Plant. The reverse may be a little different.
I like Plant too. BUT Benavidez is like a freight train. If Plant can hurt him to the liver he has a chance. I think that's the only punch that will slow down or stop Benavidez.
If plant can mimic Bivol this fight COULD look like Bivol vs Zurdo.... But he's not Bivol and Benevidez is a little smarter than Zurdo it'll be Benevidez by KO
@@charleyu5506 I don't think his footwork is bad on the defensive side but he doesn't match Fury's upper body movement. But who does for guys of that size
I don't think he looks like a monster. His fight against Dirrell made him look very beatable. It's not like he's been super active since that time, or faced any amazing competition to help him improve and find holes in his game. I think Plant has the perfect style to beat him. He just needs to maintain a decent pace and not gas and turn into a punching bag.
It's easy to look like a monster when you're fighting guys who have no business in the ring with you in the first place. Even Plant looked unbeatable and untouchable before he fought Canelo.
I have the utter most respect for Plant and am a big fan, but seeing someone come up with the potential that can be greater than canelo or mayweather is cool af!
If it happens, this gon be another fight of the year, both Caleb and David will make bags of money, will definitely sell well over a million ppv buys. Who doesn't want to see this go down... Caleb much quicker and faster but David has lethal power, especially to that body, damn let's go.
Very True!! Many of them dont wanna lose that big "0" thats gotta go. I really like Benavidez hes been around the game long long before many would know. I give props to plant for making it happen tho! Cause its gonna be a rough go for him for sure.
