I finally installed a set of rock sliders on the Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road. These are the 25 degree sliders with kickout from Cali Raised LED. I love the low profile look of them while still providing great protection off road

I’ve had grip tape on my sliders for a year and a half. Still rocking the original tape I put on. It works well

It’s come in handy once already. With the RTT it’ll be perfect

They look fantastic. Very well built.

Mannn I'm the same way. Been putting it off for WAY too long haha Good idea with the grip tape. Don't think I've seen that before.

It’s hard to see the starting price double as you select options haha. And thanks! I happened to have some cause I put it on the ladder of my RTT so I thought that’s be a good area for it as well

Cali raised makes good stuff. But for those that have the DCLB the mounting isn't the same as the DCSB.

Still happy with these? I like how low profile they are. I hope my dog won't have much issue getting in and out with them. She's getting older. Do they make you (the human) a bit more awkward getting in and out as they aren't really a step?
@OFFTHEGRIND
@OFFTHEGRIND Год назад
YES! I absolutely love them! Not awkward at all. They are nice and tucked away. I have a slightly older dog as well and I typically have to help her in the truck

The rock sliders are definitely a practical mod for your off roading excursions. Question-overall, how did you like the Tyger running boards & would you recommend them for those of us who don’t need rock sliders?
@OFFTHEGRIND
@OFFTHEGRIND 3 года назад
Yeah I would! I really liked them and they held up really well, provided a bit of protection, and obviously worked as steps perfectly
@jason7231

Nice, truck is coming together! Next mod? Full sliders all the way back? Or even better, 33?!
@OFFTHEGRIND
@OFFTHEGRIND 3 года назад
Thanks man! I want 33s but that mod comes with a ton of other mods as you know haha. Honestly I have no idea what the next mod is

@@OFFTHEGRIND roof rack? I want a prinsu, love the look and added lighting.
@OFFTHEGRIND
@OFFTHEGRIND 3 года назад
Honestly, probably. I want to do lighting as well. I also want to get an awning cause that would’ve been really nice this summer

Just purchased these, thanks for the video. How are they holding up on the trails?
@OFFTHEGRIND

Great! I’m glad this helped! They are holding up so well! Honestly the finish on them has help up to the abuse way better then I thought

I wish Cali Raised made them to fit my Access Cab 4 cylinder. Apparently Toyota has a different bolt pattern for that one model...
@OFFTHEGRIND
@OFFTHEGRIND 3 года назад
Do you have a 5 lug or is it still a 6 lug? The 5 lugs are drastically different, it’s insane. I had to put together a build list for someone and it was SOOOO difficult to find anything

@@OFFTHEGRIND 6 lug. 2019 SR Access Cab, 4x4, Utility trim (bearded), 4 cylinder... Pretty much the cheapest 4x4 possible. I absolutely love it. But I'm scared that I might beat it up, so sliders seem the way to go. I want bolt-on so that I can sell them separately if I ever sell the truck.
@OFFTHEGRIND

Oh okay. I didn’t realize they would have a different frame then the rest of the range. That sucks man

Looking great! Alas, like most companies though, Cali Raised doesn't make anything for an F150. :-(

@@OFFTHEGRIND Not to worry! I'll shoot you a pick of the sweet F150 rock sliders I ordered from Rocky Road Outfitters. That is as soon as they arrive. Just in time for my birthday in mid-Feb..... lol www.rocky-road.com/ford-f150-rock-sliders.html

How do you like them so far? Do they cover the panel under the door enough?
@OFFTHEGRIND
@OFFTHEGRIND 3 года назад
I like them! For what I do these offer plenty of protection! If I were in to rock crawling I’d want a bit more but this is plenty for my use

I'm between the 4x innovations and the 25 degree Cali raised. Is there really enough step room on the kickout to support yourself on it? What about the front door area, enough for someone to use as a step up? Thanks!
@OFFTHEGRIND
@OFFTHEGRIND 3 года назад
You can use the kickout as a step, but not really the rest of it. Still love them though!
@busterbrown087
@busterbrown087 3 года назад
With the 25 degree option, is there way of using them as steps at all, or is there no space to get your foot on them?
@OFFTHEGRIND
@OFFTHEGRIND 3 года назад
On the kick out portion you can which is helpful for setting up a tent, but not for driver or passenger doors

Cali raised has the best sliders out as of now the trail edition. Not a fan of the 0 degree

For the Tacoma, I agree. Best on the market and also don’t like the step setup
