Been interested in the SCR since I first found out about it. By far the best compliance option out there in my opinion, strongly considering getting one once I’m eligible to purchase. Stupid CA gun laws... :(

I am looking to possibly pick up a AR15 soon and am actually really interested in these types of stocks. Am I crazy? Not a huge fan of the pistol grip on AR15s.

With the recent BS in Illinois, this or a Keltec SU-16 or RDB-C would be awesome. I own a Mini-14, but I'd like something more.

At that point id rather have the ruger mini 30 or mini 14. The rotating bolt is proven, and stock ruger stainless mags are beautiful.

A regular AR15 with a Thordsen stock is a cheaper option. Another option is the Keltec Rdb-C.

Washington State has this banned. Detachable centerfire magazine + barrel shroud = *_BAN!_* Unless there is an alternative barrel I'm not aware of?

It'd be cool if ruger made a pc9 in 10mm. Also was considering a fightlight but the Title 1 has got me feeling all kinds of emotional up to this point 😅 I really hope to get one in around Christmas or new years but we'll see.

I wouldnt call it perfect... I bought an SCR lower ($499) over a year ago and built an upper around it along with fitting a Remington 1100 monte carlo stock to it. The TWO nagging issues with an SCR platform are the cheek/chin weld and hand placement issues. I fitted the highest comb monte carlo stock I could find and a true cheek weld is still VERY low, forget using any AR iron sights. I have to use micro irons and mount my optics on the rail to get a good sight line. The is a reoccurring issue with many SCR owners "the SCR chin weld". Hand placement is still uncomfortable for long range time. Its the best we have so far.... but FAR from perfect, more so because now the lowers have skyrocketed to $699 and up. and you still need to pay another $50 for the bolt catch. Ive considered selling mine to go back to a mag locked rifle with BFD speed loaders for the last 6 months.

They will eventually just ban the ammunition. The issue is that the gun owners are always on the defense and innovating around every new law, which works in the short term but eventually there will be no room to maneuver.

Just so you know, liberal doesn't always mean anti-gun ownership. I have one of the series 2 SCRs, I wish I had known they were going to come out with the wood stock version, I would have waited to buy.

My series 186 (1994) Mini-14 shoots 1.25 inch groups at 100 metres, so Mini-14s aren't inaccurate.

Expensive for an AR? Yes very much so in this market. Expensive for a different firearm? Hell No. Look at the legions of hunters that drop 1400 to 1700 on a Benelli SBE3 or Beretta A400 and don’t even think twice. Each of the 1911 makers have at least 3 or 4 models that START at 1200 and some have waiting lists that are months long. When you are faced with idiotic laws preventing AR ownership 1200 is right in the ballgame. I’m not justifying expensive snobby firearms but styles vary and there are ARs that can run that much as well. Hopefully other manufacturers start to copy this rifle style so that the prices drop.
