Utterly enchanting,while the hotel is magnificent the location is just beautiful.How you restrained yourself from leaping into that water is beyond me!To top it all that wonderful food and a bedroom with a balcony,I hope you slept with the windows open,that alone is worth the visit. This is a tough one to pick my favorite part - there are so many of them! The walk, the sunset, the Navio desserts, the food in the club lounge... yummy! I still don't know if I like the inside of the hotel or the outside better. Tough choice!

Years as much as miles separate me from field trips, Alexis. I'm a fan of parks, now, the older the trees and landscaping the better. And I do trust your taste in many things, sweets among them. :)

Gorgeous hotel, I’ve stayed there but not at the level you did. The orchids in your suite were so beautiful. The desserts in the terrariums were exquisite! I’ve never seen anything like those! The ocean was moody in the best way. Thanks again for another glimpse...wink.
I used to compare the cold/gray ocean here with the warm/bright one in So. Cal. and found it gloomy, but now I love - couldn't agree more...moody in the best way as it changes brilliantly. Haha yes the Panna Cottas in the terrariums were almost too stunning to eat. Glad you love the glimpse. Wink :)
Right? The views were so gorgeous they literally took my breath away. Initially there were some reservations about filming this trip but at that moment I knew I had to preserve that view. Thanks so much for the love, you're so sweet! What've you been up to, Charlie? :) Happy incoming Fourth!

I happened upon your video today and it took me back🙂! Wonderful memories, I used to live in San Mateo and celebrated my birthday a few years ago at the hotel. While living there I made several visits, this is one of the things I miss most about the Bay Area the ability to experience views like this. Thank you for sharing this video, absolutely beautiful🙂!

Yes definately - Fouquets is the ice cream treat following the presentation on the champs-Elysees..they have a great little stand just inside the big red double doors along from the main entrance...always worth the investment! The weather merits a LARGE tub too!! Adrian

Mary Jane, hi there :) Wish I know what kind of wild flowers they are but they sure add to the sensational views of the ocean. You nailed it - what with the notorious California drought being the culprit for the near demise of a once gorgeous field of them. I can imagine back in the day when the Ritz people came out to preview this location, saw the combination of lovely flowers/the trail/the Pacific Ocean, their jaws dropped, declared "That's it! We're sold!" haha.
