'California Stars' - words by Woody Guthrie, music by Jeff Tweedy and Jay Bennett. First performed by Billy Bragg & Wilco after Guthrie's daughter arranged for them to put a collection of unreleased Woody Guthrie lyrics to music and release them on an album called Mermaid Avenue in 1998. Rockwiz duet on episode 135. SBS TV in Australia.

I think it would be impossible to do a bad version of this song , so simple but fantastic melody , I wish I could write a song this infectious, sic , this is the first version I heard , Bob Seeger's is great too.

Almost as soon a James Reyne begins a little guitar solo, the cameraman goes to the relatively boring keyboard part. Why are cameramen/women so dense?
