Declan Melia, Holiday Sidewinder, Dinah Lee and Normie Rowe join the RocKwiz Orkestra and Vika and Linda Bull to cover Bob Dylan's Like A Rolling Stone on RocKwiz Salutes The 60s. SBS June 6 2015
You Guys/Girls are Stupendous ! What a Great rendition of Bob Dylan's song, "Like a Rolling Stone". One of The Best cover's of a song, I have ever heard !! You are All so Versatile, with Everyone singing a part. The Young singer has a Certain " "Gleem" in His Eyes, and the slightly older fella', really gets into It. The Whole Band is so Wonderful, It just makes a Day Brighter, listening to and watching Your videos. "The Air t hat I Breathe" is a Super Duet. I even challenged My Facebook Friends, to come up with a better version of the song. No Taker's ! Radar Love really Rocks ! Thanks so much for being a part of My Music Life, because at Least for Me, "Life without Music, is NO Life"(My quote)...
@@RocKwizTV bloody love the work you put into these covers, the arrangements are incredible, the band, backing singers are class. It's a sure sign for the love of music. Thank you so much.
Got to say, the first guy singing sounds like Dylan. Would love to hear him sing over the whole song. Another favourite from Rockwiz is Steve Harley; fantastic.
I've been watching approx 3-hours of RU-vid nightly for about 7-8 years... and this is the first time anything on RocKwiz ever showed up. Good stuff... I'll be looking for more.
Best RocKwiz video ever. Thanks guys. I play this all the time - it is brilliant. Love, love love the Bull sisters. Every back up they play is perfect. Makes me smile the whole way through, and isn't that exactly what music is all about?
?? Music is diverse by its nature. You don't HAVE to have people from different ethnic backgrounds to make great music. Did the black Blues Bands have diversity or did they say 'Oh hell we can't play without a white guy. Or maybe we need a Filipino. Oh wait I know we need a cross-dressing disabled, two headed Eskimo Hey I know we need more women to balance out all the guys" Geez mate just enjoy the music for however its done. Even Vika & Linda would tell you to shut up.
For you guys overseas, the Aussies again show the rest of the world what talent we have. RocKwiz always brings out the best for us...This rendering of the Legend song is hard to beat...Enjoy & promote God bless
most of the time i would say: don't cover classics. And then you came along. Hell, you nailed it. This is the Way to bring it along. You guys rock, big times - keep it up!
I watch Rockwiz every friday night, all repeats but thats television for you not a lot to choose from, but Rockwiz is good to Chill out to, my Uncle Bob met Normie down at the Anzac March in Sydney over 20 years ago, a very nice Man and Person God Bless you All. TCB. TLC. 21.6.20
Great rendition!! who's who here?? This song was recently voted the number one rock song ever. Don't remember where. Dunno about that. But certainly one of the greatest songs ever. It really fit into Hamptons life when I lived with it there back in the 60s.
Only saw this episode a few nights ago and am so glad i found it here. What fantastic music was put out by all the musicians on RockWiz. I wish they would bring it back. It was always a highlight of the week.
Holiday Sidewinder is awesome, but commercially underrated. She's just put out a new album called "The Last Resort" which contains a collaboration with the legendary Kim Wilde - go get a copy! :-)
I had the pleasure to meet up with NORMIE at a restaurant yesterday at Robina Town Centre .Isaid "your Normie Rowe ,right ? " ,he said sure am , we talked a bit & he said sit down & we talked some more .I told him I had this Rock Wiz of him singing : Like a Rolling Stone: :he said yes I remember doing that gig a few years ago ,a lot of fun. .. He lives on the gold Coast.
This might have been the first RockWhiz song I discovered few years ago and I play it often! My favorite voice here is the blonde with the feather in her hair. I googled to find a version of "Time Times are a Changin'". I found it, but only a sound version from RockWhiz.
This show WAS brilliant I say 'was' because the new version is pretty lacklustre to be honest. It was so much better than Spicks & Specks. The band was AWESOME and really cooked, the show was longer, the venue was jumping, the whole atmosphere was so much better. This new version is in what looks like a studio and the band volume is much softer so it doesnt have that energy and the band just doesnt quite gel despite the musos being more than capable. Good to see Lucky still on board too. I'll watch it but Hmmmm...
Honestly, i didn't know anyone of them, but God they are all sooo good! So talented and awesome..all of them even the back up singers , the lady in keyboards, and most of all the frontman long haired guy, what's his name btw?
I discovered this RockWiz here on RU-vid, and then realized this was a Television Series in Australia. I love this! And thanks for posting so many. I want to buy the series on DVD, but cannot find any. And then, it would not be playable on US DVDs. This is wonderful.
Marrianne R Check the other offerings from Rockwiz. Covers of The Band's The Weight, Rolling Stones's Gimme Shelter for example, plus many more. Such a shame the show is no longer being made.
Wow, Normie Rowe is the exact opposite of the clapped out, drug-ravaged 60's Rockstar. He looks too healthy! I have to say, Rockwiz is one of the few reasons to bother watching the tube. What great house band, singers and guest artists.
