If the storm parks itself off of So Cal's coast - could we have a potential "Lahaina"-style scenario? Wildfire risk for Tues/Weds - because the vegetation is still bone dry due to the recent Sana Anas? (Lahaina - received winds from a nearby storm, but delivered no moisture.) I'm telling folks to be extra-vigilant - Santa Anas can blow all winter. But we're not truly "safe" from the chance of big wildfires - until the seasonal rains begin. What are your thoughts?
I worked for the L.A. Times as a Service Rep. Back in 1998 and 1999, were one of the wetest I remember working out in the field. Flooding, pouring down rain. I just loved it.
Be really nice if Cali knew what to do with it!! Its criminal what your government has done to that beautiful state! Almost completely destroyed! Truly sad!
Day to day weather in different areas isn’t usually an indicator of a changing climate. Long term averages of weather combined, equate to a warming trend. 2023 will certainly be the hottest.
