Cracks me up how nearly everybody who performs this song does it with a lot more effort than JJ Cale. As one critic put it, they do it "like a dragster slingshotting off the starting blocks." JJ Cale was laid back , but he had real power in his performances. As the same critic puts it, "JJ Cale is power under control."
Matt can sure pick songs! I have loved this song since I heard it on Johnny Cash's Water from the Wells of Home CD. Like I spent six months discovering the sinfully underappreciated Charlie Rich and Matt puts "Feel Like Goin' Home" on the new CD. Great! Lily

Here we go again.I was using a digital camera to video.I'm 5 feet tall and had people constantly walking infront of me.Pretty hard to get a good video.I love Matt Andersen,I'd much rather have video of him...he is amazing!!

After reading that this guy was the best guitar player in Canada ..... I had to check it out .....The answer is ... Sure he is good ... but the best ?? ..... Maybe in Cape Breton !!!!! There are way more better than this guy ... Sorry .... IMHO ....
Tough or maybe unfair to actually judge which is "better", considering that in an adult it's the comforting resonants or thought processes ingrained into the inner child's sensibilities that are fetched for such a subjective comparison. By comparison, culture also fostered blues dialects that appealed to their own regional familiarity. So I don't say Johnny winter was the best guitarist any more either.
