Matt Anderson I have been sat at home watching all your videos, I stumbled across you by accident. it is the best accident that's ever happened! you are AMAZING! I'm lost for words. The most incredibly talented person. Thanks for making the world and my life better with your guitar and voice. xxx
I found him by watching the advert on TV with a nurse in a blue uniform"I thought it was Rag "n"Bondman,I was searching for ages to find out who was singing it,,and hey hoo up came Matt Anderson""what a Voice he has""you may like Sam Fender,he a young lad from Sheffield and I love his songs,,Friday Fighting is my favourite, play that one first you may get into him,,wow I love the guy..x
I see a comment about lucky accident. Well I had the same luck, by accident. This guy should be a legend. A great voice and super innovation on the guitar. What's not to like?
Now I've been listening to the good tunes since I could fall asleep under the old beilards table and this takes me bk 30 years amazing singinger will never give up on this guy!!!!
love this song and this version of it as well. john Denver will always remind me of my father that passed away when I was only 8 years old. played this song at his funeral. miss you dad.
Didnt think anyone could cover this.... I was wrong! He is full of only soul! Amazing. How can not everyone in the world know who he is. Thankfully for RU-vid and Pandora! This is what I want to listen to in a bar all night long. no talking- just the music, just live in that moment!
its so stupid how this guy has so much talent and still hasn't been recognized, but just about anybody that has auto tune can become a millionaire almost over night. Something else, who agrees that if its illegal for athletes to use steroids than it should be illegal for musicians to use auto tune.
This doesn't work. Athletes who use steroids are giving themselves a competitive advantage which is very tangible. In music, what's considered "good" or "bad" is extremely subjective, everyone has their own opinion and there is no true answer to what is good or bad. A lot of people like auto-tuned music, some people don't. In no way does it give anyone a "competitive" or "unfair" advantage over anyone else. This is art after all, anything is fair game (other than plagiarism).
Steroids can cause serious damage to the athlete's health. Hopefully banning steroids will protect athletes from having to use steroids to stay competitive with steroid using athletes. Hopefully. Keep the playing field level sort of thing. That's my take on the rules. Steroids have more effects than muscle growth. I don't want to be around any athlete who is having a steroid rage for example.
Matt is a living proof that main stream media are abducted by single-minded retards. We are lucky to live in times where RU-vid and other private media give us the opportunity to discover and appreciate such talents as Matt Andersen
Matt not only makes me proud to be Canadian but a good ole Carleton County boy.....reminds me of strumming my ole guitar till my fingers hurt around the camp fire with the boys and a bottle or around the kitchen with the whole family and coffee.
One of the greatest songs ever written, originally performed by one of the greatest musicians ever to perform. Here it is covered by in my opinion, the greatest currently active musician on the planet. It doesn't get much better than that.
I'm not into country music, but I love acoustic guitar and this kind of singing. Can anyone recommend music that is like this? I am having a hard time finding music like this!
I think it's sad when some people feel the need to make music a competition. I love John Denver's music, and I think Matt did a phenomenal job on this. Isn't that enough?
Yes it would fit inside Alberta, but the scenery and cultural history would blow your mind away.Go for a visit there sometime and you will get my drift.
in my head, this song is always sped up to the tempo of the Me First and the Gimmie Gimmies' version- this guy is amazing though, it's a beautiful thing to hear someone doing music right.
@Graiskye Well said, sir. :) Matt does fantastic jobs on covers like these. However, I don't see it as him trying to outdo anyone, but simply singing songs he enjoys. He's paying his respects to every artist whose songs he performs, IMO.
Keep doing what you love. Choose an instrument and make music. New fan and new sub. Big Like and Listen to the End. 🤠😎😊🎙🎶🎵🎼🎸👍Keep playing and keep posting.
I'm a West Virginia native so I believe I have some room to talk. It's a cover and nobody will ever replace John Denver's version so no he didn't do it better than any Americans. However, this dude has my respect. That was a hell of a cover. He still doesn't beat John Denver though...
There's too many great bands on Earth that are not well known like Les Friction, Abney Park, and :Of The Wand And The Moon sadly. Different genres, but all great artists/bands.
apologies for the double up.... All thus guff about OCMS, and Matt. WTF is with that. they are friends, and they are musicians. Its not a fucking competition. Its music, and if you see it as a contest, I just feel sorry for you! You've missed the point completely and the train has left the station.
@ah233933 But they did... Bob dylan only wrote the chorus. and I think OCMS's performs wagon wheel better in my opinion. Matt has a better voice but old crow actual bring life to the song and they put more soul into it. Which is mostly because ketch actually wrote the verses. OCMS is from the south. A guy from canada isnt going to perform a country song better than them.
Actually if Edmonton don't pony up some money for a new rink, the Oilers may wind up in Seattle Washington.By the way i like and seen Matt Anderson,to bad he cant get more exposure, as he could further his career.
