This would be so much more impactful if all the Black Ops characters had their original voice actors. Hearing the OG Mason read the numbers would’ve been so satisfying.
@@squidward9747 eh. It’s still not the same voice actor, and I can still tell the difference. At least he at least tries to sound like Hudson, but Mason doesn’t try to sound like Mason at all.
@@squidward9747 I honestly don’t remember, I played it as a kid all those years ago, don’t even remember his voice. I just remember Mason and Woods being the same.
What’s concerning is that we know Mason never completely got rid of the numbers since in “Old Wounds” he has an overwhelming urge to shoot Krevchenko so Adler’s probably still going to suffer from the numbers for a few years at least
depends on something specific tho i think because when mason was brainwashed and programmed with the numbers he was ordered to kill JFK, but reznov made mason think so much of how he was betrayed by krevchenko, dragovich and steiner, reznov sabotaged the programming so when mason saw krevchenko in BO2, it triggered the numbers to come back.
Yeah it could be because seeing Kravchenko triggered them. The reason behind that could be because the objective wasn't completed yet. But once all three were officially confirmed dead, Mason never saw numbers again
@@lilsideburns3667I gotta disagree with you, in the mission “Old Wounds” Woods explained to Mason jr., that he would sometimes see Mason “scanning the room” and he would get all ticky. Then he would start talking to “Tricky Vick”, Reznov
Fr when mason say that it went to my mind and remembering of the numbers that Mason put his own numbers to Adler just like what Hudson and weaver did to mason in Black ops one
wasnt you meant that the bombing wasnt adler, finish what you started meant finish taking down the bombers because thats what adler started. Wtf wrong with everybody
@@FoxInferno13 I loved Cold War but the new voice actors really threw me off. Not because they were bad they, actually did a good job with what they had but because they sounded and acted just different enough to ruin my immersion that I was back in the black ops story. I mean you’re really gonna have mason use the numbers brainwashing shit on one of his squad members and act like that isn’t shitting all over the incredibly traumatic and deep storyline he had in the OG black ops??? I’ll pass thank you
@@TwinXlyric For me Cold War it's just an alternate Black Ops universe where the americans are the bad guys, the best ending is where Bell betrays the team
@@TheBatman39 I see it as kind of "the good guys have to do some bad" not as the americans being bad guys, in the cold war campaign wasn't Perseus wanting to launch bombs on American soil? I feel like brainwashing one guy (bell) as a reaction and way to stop Perseus is definitely ok then, if I'm missing something from the story just lmk because I don't remember much of cold wars lore/story.
@@FoxInferno13 I think he might have been brainwashed the same way Mason was. There is no way in hell that Mason would torture somebody like that so...
Mason: huh...so this is what it feels like when you and Weaver were trying to interrogate me 13 years ago... Weaver: *screaming from the back* ...now you know my pain Mason!😑
I feel like with Adler he was really the Russian soldier they found or “Bell” and they pulled a mason on him and made him think that he was Bell and Adler was his friend with fake memories. Kinda like mason and reznov . Bell could have never been real and in the ending were Adler shoots Bell is Adler’s conscious kicking bell out and for the rest of the time he thinks he is Adler , eliminating the alter ego .
CoD Alternate Black Ops: Adler was brainwashed by the Russians to assassinate Ronald Reagan, but Bell sabotages it and puts himself into Adler’s mind, then Alder kills Arash Kadivar because he left Bell for dead and is then captured and interrogated by Mason and Hudson and ask him what the numbers mean.
He's still a badass and probably the coolest character in Black Ops Cold War. I'm bias because he's Army like me lol. I look forward to him in the sequels, he's become my favorite COD character of all time, with Price coming in second.
Imagine buying a battlepass on a paid game to unlock something that could’ve just been earnable in game. People like you is the reason why everything has a battlepass
I think all of these Warzone cutscenes are ruining stories told by the devs who make the campaigns. Stitch and the rest of the Perseus crew didnt feel like characters that belong in the OG Black ops universe.
It just feels cheap, I hate the tie-ins with warzone and verdansks. Should’ve kept the story standalone and in it’s own universe. For some dumb reason they want to make all the cod games connected as if its some MCU type shit, but it just makes the story for each game worse and worse. Can’t wait to play BO2(2028) where we get to see seasonal content, battle royale, and the introduction to Verdansk 2025. And see raul menendez trying to take over verdansk for his sister!
Then the CANON story at the beginning of Black Ops 2 can’t happen. So that scenario will never be the true ending since it involves Mason and Woods being killed. (Cold war takes place early 80’s to mid 80’s and BO2 story before Section’s story is set in the late 80’s)
@@Kittycorn115 I know but cold war 2 if they make one, could follow the what if the Soviets won, blacks ops 2 could be cannon in that universe and cold war could be its own universe, but probably not, I think their going down an mcu kinda codverse but still cool
I think he had a different birthdate in those games, he was like in his 90s still old as fuck but it's a made up future so I guess people live longer in that world
would’ve been a better cutscene if the OG VA’s retained their respective roles, but i understand that covid limitations and activision neutering anything treyarch has done since BO4 led to this recasting that’s nothing more than decent. not like i’d do any better but still always gonna be a weird moment in time
Good thing cold war is better than black ops 3 and 4 because black ops 3 campaign don't make sense since it alternate universe meanwhile black ops 4 doesn't have campaign just cutscene
@@danielgeronimo5538 you mean this was takes place before BO4 because the whole point of operators having lore and also the whole storyline is basically a story of you as player inside illusion because from what i know BO3 has Futuristic lore than advanced warfare itself
@@seanmarley3598 Basically the timeline prior to shared universe insanity World at War>Black Ops>Cold War>Black Ops 2>Black Ops 4 story>Black Ops 3 Point is, 3 isn't an alternate universe, the events that happened within it are all real, the problem is, one takes place in the physical world the other in cyberspace.
I am on season 5 and my season tab that shows how many days I have left finally ran out. Instead of unlocking season 6, my battletab disappeared. Any ideas why? I waited so long for this moment and I never advanced to season 6.
