Yeah there is a trick you could to to get it before this game, you actually just went ahead and bought the og games and press play, and boom you get his og suit and as a bonus you get a better game than this piece of shit
They way Makarov referred to the characters by their first names, his cryptic yet creepy tone of voice throughout, the explosion at the airport and the reveal that the stadium was just a decoy was absolutely erie. Also, “Simon Riley, I expected you to stay at the airport, and die there.” He literally just admitted that the stadium wasn’t the target and he was always targeting the airport. Makarov here was closer to his original MW 2&3 iteration than the rest of the game combined. If they kept him this way throughout he’d been much more memorable.
With all the game's faults, having a somewhat charismatic villain with convictions after the two (or more) snoozers from MW19-22 elevated the campaign a bit
@@glibchubik4090ya but did we really get to explore them? We didn’t get a lot of character development which is kinda understandable with how many characters there are but I think farah should of had only one mission, and the laswell mission could of been cut nothing special
Graves; " Did you miss me? Well, technically, you did didn't you? Ghost; "Laswell, if you're tracking this, lets call an airstrike" Graves; "Ghost, THAT is NOT nice" Made my day
I don't know if its still cannon, but Ghost's backstory was explained in a comic book and its amazing. He's so top secret his military file doesn't even have a photo of his face. Also, his dad was a dick.
If i had to be realistic id say he had people that would replace him and carry out his plan in the case that he'd be killed, which would mean that they have nothing to work with on stopping his grand plan.
Makarov saying, he expected Ghost to stay is interesting. This was in the mission where they were killing civilians and his backstory about losing his family must be something Makarov knows.
Goofy isn't the word. "Warm" is. He's got a smile of a bloody nice chap (which his actor seems to be IRL). Shows you and makes you really love this Price iteration, a really COMPLETE man, not just a cold, one-sided faceless killing machine.
@@JonPL agreed, but warm? at a time like that? it was very out of place, especially when you realize that Price was fully intending to kill Shepherd if he didn't cooperate even before he went off the deep end
After Makarov said “I promise,” when threatening Soap. Price gave us that odd look and it got me because Price knows how capable and diabolical Makarov is and knew that he was somehow going to find a way to end Soap. Again. Loved that small attention to detail
2:33 Makarov saying “I’ll be seeing you again, MacTavish. I promise.” Then he looked at Price. Gives me chills now after completing the campaign. Not only he kept his word, he looked at Price when he said it. Like he knew it would hurt Price a lot.
I love how this Makarov is less than a psycho. It may make him less evil than the original sure, but this Makarov is a perfectionist and master tactician.
You guys got it wrong. The original MW series was supposed to be from the player's POV. The new one is a Hollywood moviesque POV. Makarov is just the same as original or maybe he was even better.
If anything the original Makaroc was a better planner. Didn't get caught until the final mission. Even then it was a close call. All of Makarov's plans in the original modern warfare played out perfectly. Not in this one.
Ghost has always been my favorite of the Tier 1 operators. Just like Master Chief, nobody knows his real face, which makes all the more terrifying and mysterious. He's a shadow without a name or a face.
before modern warfare 1 or 2 came out like the very first ones there was a comic released with Ghost his backstory, you actually see him without a mask in there quite a bit. I'd reccomend reading trough it if you love the character its a fun little read and pretty messed up too
contrary to popular belief I don't think so. I think ghost is done with getting attached to ppl coz he has trust issues. + soaps death didn't affect him that much, I think he'd be upset but he won't lose his mind like everyone thinks, coz he clearly lost it long before soap.
2019 Price would have let Soap kill Makarov. Unfortunately the capture happened in the first place because MWIII's showrunners had a Rian Johnson moment.
@@farolanramadhani7218Rian Johnson when directing the third Star Wars movie in the new trilogy retconned a TON of stuff that happened in the first two movies because he didn’t agree with the old director. In modern warfare’s case, remember how Gaz and Price met for the first time during the terrorist attack in London? Remember how Ghost and Soap meet each other on the first mission to get Hassan? None of that is canon anymore because the Verdansk mission shows they all met before any of the events in the new modern warfare series took place.
I like the new one when he wears the helmet and quad nods but not without it either way the OG is 100% better funny enough a lot people mocked the original for being cheesy and unrealistic yet you can find pictures of real special forces from around the world as well as police, cartels, gangs, and more using the exact same mask if those people only knew what the reboot would look like
I love how they’re all wearing outfits that are callbacks to their original counterparts. Even Shepherd is wearing a more modernized version of his original outfit
1:33 I technically owned the night war skin of Ghost because how tactical it looks, but holy hell they made the OG skin look more tactical in this new graphic.
Yep. I felt like Spider-Man 2 was too short to be 70$, but I’d take a game like that any day over a 4 hour 70$ game with the same multiplayer mode that every other cod has had. There is absolutely no way I would buy this for 70$ with my own money. I’ll probably buy it when it goes on sale, which is inevitable and since the reviews are so bad the price will probably drop a lot.
@@jgadiaz Spider-Man 2 did disappoint in certain aspects but I still overall really enjoyed the game. I just think it was too short, for a 70$ game that has been in development for 5 years. Even the side content is super quick to get through. I beat the main story in 8 hours and got the platinum at 20.
It’s crazy how underwhelming the death of Makarov is compared to the OG one. But I’ll doubt if he actually died, because he would eventually become milked for skins with the description “I wasn’t in the tunnel” 😂 Look how they did with Graves. He would’ve died but eventually become a host in Warzone.
Ghost: Laswell, if you're tracking this, let's call an airstrike Graves: Ghost, that is not nice, 😂😂😂😂These are the most classical lines I've ever heard.
So at 1:53 you can clearly see it’s Airport . With storage town bottom Screen . Now if you go back and watch the Warzone Season 2 trailer where they reveal Ghosts return, he repelled down and notified price to send ppl he can trust . I’m assuming he went back after they exfilled with Makarov? Or if there’s no ties at all to that cutscene . 🤔
Imo ghost new mask (mw2-mw3) makes him look way more menacing. Along with the voices hes had in all the recent mws. Hes always been an iconic character but when they redesigned him and gave him a more colder, sinister presence, they did right by him. The voice, his height, the mask( the backstory behind the mask even makes it even cooler imo). He was just an iconic operator before. Now he has more substance
Which game did you all guys played? In MW2 when soap name was mentioned in the team by price to ghost, ghost eye rolled i guess he knew soap was a dum dum or mental head
@GamerGoneMad ok, but it's not the only problem. The attack on verdansk in 2019 is sayed to be because of maka.... wait, I was about to say smt dumb imma search smt
Did it tho ? We know that Verdansk happend 4 years prior to the current events. And at the same time, we know that MW3 takes place in 2023, while MW2019 took place in 2019 (making it 4 years apart). Seeing as they were already Task Force 141 in Verdansk, it's highly plausible that the Mission simply took place shortly after the events of MW2019 (especially since Shepard was still their commander). Like there are 3 whole years between MW1 and MW2 - they obviously already worked together in that time frame, even if just on a smaller scale... It only seems like a Retconn, because it just happens out of nowhere. Previously we only knew that the Team - by the time MW2 happend - knew about Makarov, and that Ghost in particular seemed to have a personal grudge against him. We didn't know what and when it happend, only that it had to be after they were already a Task Force. In reality, it doesn't retconn anything - it just fleshes out the context clues, that we previously had no real knowledge about.
@@TheCursedCat1927You said so much without saying anything at all. They retconned alot. No Russian was watered down big time. Some of the biggest events in MW 2 and 3 were pushed out. This game is trash. Even the general sheppard "fight" was put into a cutscene.. come on.
@@TheCursedCat1927I’m not reading all of that. You’re going into a massive debate to help justify shit writing that’s the equivalent of the KK Star Wars trilogy.
@@Obscure_1992You’re talking about different things. Cursed cat is discussing it within the context of the reboot timeline, you’re comparing it to the story of the original series. This series isn’t retconning anything, they’re just telling an adapted version of the story. Think of it as marvel movies compared to the comics. If you prefer the originals, they still exist.
Ugh so many comments venerating how good this story was when its basically mediocre and cringe that just fondles your balls with nostalgia. Makarov in this story isnt even as scary as the original. Theyre making it out as if Makarov bombing verdansk airport and blaming the US for it is a big deal when it actually isnt lol. Never felt any ounce of importance or emotion of urgency from this story at all. 3rd worst CoD story ever written. MW 2019 was already solid, but these devs just had to get lazy with the story just so they can make annual releases. All who think the new MW2 and 3 stories are well written and are venerating it are idiots.
I want the new mw to be dark and real as it can be, I feel like mw2 and 3 (the new ones) was kinda to safe than mw 2019, that's my only problem with them
"And where is Mr. Sanderson?" "Somwhere that's NOT your bloody concern!!" "Hmm. That's a shame. With him on your team, you'd complete your mission in an instant."
Milena: why the mask Ghost: to hide my face How much more intimidating that line could have been if someone got paid to write the script: “so it’s the last thing my enemies see.”
