I'd give this game an 8, definately an improvement over BO1 and MW3. Although it has it's own annoying issues like Lag, and the annoying sniper users. I actually really like the multiplayer. The single player was actually pretty good though not as good as the first black ops that having I think the best story out of all the Call of Duty games. Although a lot of people hated this game, I still like this game.
I mean its the fact that sniping has been so easy to use to the point where people would run around using a sniper rifle in Close Quarters treating it like its a shotgun which is really annoying for anybody thats using a rifle or an SMG. Lets say for example you were running up against a sniper user and you are using an SMG, you shoot him and put the first 1 or 2 bullets in him and right where you were about to to get the last 1 or 2 bullets for the kill, the person just shoots his sniper up close and ends up killing you in one bullet even though you were closer to killing him and it happens ALOT when you play this game.
victor jim what they need to do is make the sniper and machine gun even ( equal damage) because a bullet is a bullet and it only takes one to kill (and only pistol bullets will be effected by body armor in real life)
BF3: Class Customization/Perks Weapon Customization Vehicle Customization/Perks Individual Weapon Leveling Frostbite 2.0's lighting effects like blinding flashlights/lazers and glass glare on scopes. None of these, however, made it feel truly remarkable. These were things other games had already done. The Premium DLC adds a lot of great stuff ($50 more). Campaign was a complete disaster. Both good games in their own ways. Totally agree BO2 is worth the praise. It won me over.
So this has a higher score than Skyrim, and Batman: Arkham City both exceptional, high quality games. Gametrailers was smoking some pot at this time, i swear it.
what I like about CoD is that it's full of enthusiasm, it doesn't change the base of the game, that's why everybody's hatin', I'm not sure what to think about Black ops 2 yet, but for now it seems stable enough, it's not unchanged, nothing in particular, but you can't say it's the same game, the feel of the game is bigger and bigger every year, and I think that's what makes CoD series so popular it's not the best, but stays top FPS. you can't say activision pays everybody. and I'm no fanboy.
The MP in all COD Games: COD 4 MW was Great, WaW was OK, MW2 was Ehhhh, BO 1 was GREAT, MW 3 was I gonna STOP PLAY COD games, BO2 has completely redeemed itself! BO2 is AWESOME and with a learning curve and a lot of depth (not if you are using the Sniper Riffles...) All the haters will always stay BUTT HURT from what ever COD game... Makes no since to me just don't buy the game why does it hurt them SOOO much that COD does well in sales is beyond me.. I say if YOU dont like it then DONT buy...
Weapon customization was in bfbc2. Blinding flashlights/lasers is just annoying. BF3 is a great game, but i think all of the people who really like it and hate call of duty, are blinded by the fact that even black ops 1 brought more changes than bf3 did. However, both great games, fun to play etc etc.
Yes a learning curve, a GRIND if you will. ALL the ASSAULT Riffles suck! Until you learn and unlock attachments you have 2 learn which combo are best. SMGs are super RUN and Gun. You can CAMP everywhere lol but since Ghost so under powered. You know they are there but must learn the map to get those gamers out there comfort zone. Smipers are 2 EZ thou. LMG are FINALLY AWESOME but not versatile and SHOT GUN VERY balanced. No DOUBT BO2 is annoying at times (lag/camping) but its the BEST

I fucking hate the COD formula, but Black Ops 2 looks ALOT better than the others. The engine is 4 years old, but they still manage to improve on it. They haven't pushed it further since they need to keep the 60 FPS they're known for. I fucking loved Black Ops 2, and it fucks me off saying how good it is.

Have to admit that they do give higher score to repetitive yearly installments of Cod series, but at least the graphics and storyline are getting better and better with each installments. Haters will be haters.. To each to his/her own I guess...
call of duty is probably the most over the top game out their. cod zombies is just an arcade like version of zombies where you run around the map like idiots opening doors, buying guns and going against zombies that end up taking hundreds and hundreds of more bullets as they get stronger. simple and easy to play but thats basically what every sort of survival mode video game have do. left for dead, dead rising and dead island are acctually about zombies. cod just needs zombies so people care
The hate for COD comes with consecutive releases one after another with minor changes to it to grab your CASH. Maps of which used to be released for free as a thank you in previous years now cost 20.. You pay 60 dollars for a multilayer game. COD games should cost $40 tops. I loved COD 4 after that it just felt like re-releases.
And as a result of 2 teams it technically comes out every 12 months, as a fact. And because Activision enjoys milking it. Thought you would've noticed that by now. I'm just saying Treyarch is better over IW if I had to choose. Read.
and just another note im not cod fan but yes there fun and no one complains about battlefield? thats been the same formula for ages never changed just the theme, exactly your not cool for hating cod but battlefield 3 did copy the prestiege mode
This one, I'd agree as well. Treyarch is obviously more creative than the Former-shell-of-themselves Infinity Ward. MW3 is the most rehashed piece of shit of the entire series. Which is sad when most people say COD is always rehash to begin with. every 12 months lol.
It hasn't really done much, just added a form of 'balance' to the create-a-class feature. I use the term balance loosely, as you can make any average class without the use of Wildcards (which can be game-breaking in the right hands). The game is susceptible to the same issues as the rest. I don't see what's so incredible about this one, to be honest. The league play? That's pretty cool, but that has a lot of really bad players.
The Campaign is fucking amazing, the zombie is fun at most parts. The multiplayer is a meh with me. It feels abit cheap at most times because of the hit detection. I don't regret buying it and this is coming from a guy who fucking hates COD with a passion. Recommend to Hardcore Cod fans and maybe some. Some who hates the Cod games, try it out deeply and see if you like it or not.
Play the PS3 version, and then tell me that. I really was looking forward to this game because it was the first time the CoD franchise actually acknowledged it's popularity and headed into a different and unique direction. I wanted to play this game because even though it's a military shooter, it's a unique one. But the PS3 version became a clusterfudge of problems. Terrible texture rending which led to disappointing graphics, and a broken online system where people have trouble finding games.
From what I've heard and seen this game should be more of an 8 than past the 9 point range. I dont hate the series (I dont hate any series), but a rating can only go so far when your using the same ideas with lemon twists. I will admit one thing for sure, Infinity Ward is giving it a bad name and most criticism should be directed at them.
The Pick 10 I think will prove to be a refreshing departure for COD. It may still be more of the same, but I enjoy treyarch's zombie mode and dedication to their individual brand of COD over IW's Michael Bay fest.
If that's the case, why is there player choice? And not to mention zombies. It's Activision that copies and pastes, Treyarch at least attempts to do something different. Video is exhibit A.
Fair play,but no-ones forcing you to buy it, every November $60 doesn't magically fly out of your bank account as you receive your mandatory COD copy, does it ? If you don't like it don't buy it simple as that, constantly b!tching about it isn't going to stop the millions of people from playing it worldwide, the games clearly have a redeeming quality for them to keep buying it. If you don't like it fine there are plenty of shooters on the market to choose from it's up to you.

its weird im still finding myself having more fun playing the first black ops. I hate modern warfare 2 and 3, the first one was alright, definitely better than 2 and 3. i love black ops though. This one sorta looks like mw but gives the vibe of black ops. Fantastic campaign, and great zombies, I definitely feel that Treyarch has Call of Duty covered much better than infinity ward because they actually listen to the community.
oh really? have any of the other COD been set in 2 different times, have any other COD had choices in the campaign have any other COD had multiple endings have any other COD had allowed you to exchange attachments for perks, perks for nades, nades for attachments now the score streaks dont power you up to your next score streak, so you have to have skill to get the higher score screaks. do any of the others cods had the league mode, do any of the other cods have hardpoint on and strike force
I know it's not bad, COD is a decent series that get's far more hate than praise, I personally can't get into them but I have nothing against people that do, That said, to say it's best or worst game ever indicates to me that the subject hasn't played many games to make such a statement, as there are far better/ worse examples for that.
I've played the campaign, it just has average features to try and spice it up that results in the same sort of gameplay as I've always expected from CoD games. I played zombies with my girlfriend for a bit, but I've never enjoyed it. To be fair, CoD sells on MP, and nothing there has changed much at all. It's a stale franchise now, it'll remain that way until it dies out and makes it's reboot after a year-long hiatus.
WaW was the best man. I would still play it all the time if it wasnt for hackers. Yeah you could make the copy and paste argument for multiplayer but thats why it was so damn good. It was CoD4 (one of the best fps games) in WW2, just like the original games. Awesome singleplayer with good missions and exciting set pieces and tons of gore. And of course, zombies, and the original 4 maps are still the best in my opinion as the have that scary vibe to them.
for me the multiplayer looks the same the campaign changes the zombies look awesome but thats not enough for me to buy it. at least when its £39. theres just better fps games this year in my opinion
I have to admit that this game's multiplayer was the funnest COD multiplayer since COD 4 for me. I have hated every one in between. But what the hell is with all the praise for this game's story? I saw all the reviews, then I played it with a friend watching and we couldn't stop laughing. The cutscenes are perfect examples of childish and just down right god awful pacing. Maybe its the incredibly low standards but I cannot believe people think this game's narrative is well done.
Better than CoD4? I hope that's sarcasm, man. The lag compensation and obvious hand-holding with blatantly 'Easy Mode' weapons (the entire SMG tier of weapons) and gimmicky features, on top of possibly the worst map designs the game has had, makes for a CoD that sits above MW3, but below the rest. Good ideas, bad executions.
9.7 design for rehashed graphics and artwork? When are reviewers going to start taking points off on cod games because it's been doing the same thing for years with slightly different featues
you do understand that the Hitman series and cod series are toatal different serires.. you are not going to cmpare a cod to hitman because they are nothing alike. the new hitman game had alot of cons and a little bit more pros. i never played a hitman game. i only picked up the controller for a few minutes. so i dont know how the hitman series improved. bops improved alot so thats why the rating is a 9.4 hitman kinda improved, but not by much. so thas why its a 6.9
Every call of duty story? I feal that you forgot about the old cod games. those were a blast back in my childhood. the modern warfare series had a great story as well. i really loved the characters in the series. i really got connected to them throught the 3 games. and the over all ending was great.

even if you were right the graphics would still be mediocre compared to other games. this game doesnt deserve the hype. its story is laughable, the multiplayer like every other cod game is unbalanced, full of children, poorly designed maps and everybody plays for themself. and zombies is so overhyped, its not as these kids make it out to be because its just a mini game if you want actually well made zombie gameplay play left for dead, dead rising or dead island. cod has no reason to sell so much
Scores average is out it should be 9.325 not 9.4. Even if your rounding it would round down to 9.3. Math people, check your working out before making videos.
the only Cod review i ver disagree with was MW3, the story was good but the rest just bad, Black ops 2 did everything right making for the best COD experience,
i don't hate cod. i hate it being overrated. psn: mario955. lack of intelligence? cod: same graphics same gameplay same multiplayer. just different killstreaks and new ways to set up your class. i enjoy cod for what it is. its a great game but it doesn't improve itself. stay on cod and them trick you into thinking they are the best of the best. i play a variety of games, games that strive on trying to become better. but cod proves fanboys like you will let them make money forever without trying.
Yeah, BO2 really impressed me, really good COD game. One of the best games ever is... a stretch however, considering game series like Bioshock and the recent Last of Us though :P

This is the only cod which I can say I've enjoyed playing. I still won't buy it cuts I only find it fun playing at friends places but it's actually worth some praise this time. it's not as good as far cry 3 in my opinion.

It seems that COD has turned into the gaming version of nickleback, everyone hates on them but when a song comes on they will listen to it. I guess its what we humans do haha. COD will always be a fun, fast paced game. If you hate it because it got so popular then you are an idiot. I may feel that BF3 is a better shooter, but that is personal preference and COD is still a fun game. Try this, if you don't like the game then don't play it or watch videos about it. Your welcome :)
