My point is that reservation is because the representation of the schedule caste people is low when the representation will increase by the schedule caste the reservation will automatically remove because the population percentage of the schedule caste people is more than the actual reservation given to them. The point is that the reservation is given to schedule caste than also the the representation is not increasing. For example if there are 100 people in schedule caste than only 45 people have the reservation And not for all. if 50 people from schedule caste apply for the post than the remaining 5 people will need to take the position from general caste. So i think that reservation main reason is to increase the percentage of representatives from the schedule caste. The reservation will automatically gone as the representation will increase.

Who is at the receiving end though? The Jaatavs discriminate against Musahars. Brahmins and OBCs discriminate Dalits. But OBCs complain that Brahmins are oppressors, so OBCs don't like Brahmins, then there are Jats, Gujjars, Rajputs with superiority complex, Yudavanshis against Ahirs. It's not simply "Brahmin oppressing Dalits" There are alot of OBC communities who are richer than other communities, they get reservation and baap dada ki sampatti. One thing I don't understand is how caste-based reservation will remove the social stigma of casteism from people's minds if people are racist. In my opinion, caste-based reservation itself causes reverse discrimination for general castes as well as discomfort for the reserved caste people. Reservation can give you better education, better jobs, but can't eradicate casteism from people's minds. Also, your statement that even rich people from reserved classes face discrimination is evidence that by getting reservation, you may ride the ladder of economic growth and education but can't change people's thoughts thus cant change society. So basically, reservation is not helpful in eradicating people's bigotry and bringing a societal chnage. If it does, then please explain me how. In fact, I have witnessed a few cases (which even you agreed on in your video with a similar example) where an SC/ST person has gotten a government job/admission to a government institute because of reservation, and a general caste person is saying, "Arey usko toh reservation ke wajah se mila gaya nahi toh aaj kal govt job/ itna kam score mein government institute mein admission kahaan milta hai?" (He got it only because of reservation, otherwise who gets a government job/admission in a government institute these days with such lower marks?). This mentality won't go away with reservation; in fact, it adds more fuel to the thinking that reservation is killing merit, and this thinking will grow as our society becomes more progressive, and divide our society more by creating a rift in the minds of people who are even supportive of SC/ST/OBC categories and are not biased against them. So, in my opinion, reservation causes more problems than it solves. Also, I totally agree with you that India still has racism, which is totally unfair. But if racism has gone on for 500 years, then having reservation for 500 years doesn't make sense to me. That being said, I think after independence, even though caste-based reservation was a good measure for uplifting the backward classes in India (as at that time India had many social problems also had economic hurdles), but when we started to develop resources we should have gradually moved towards a system of support for the less privileged sections of society (not reservation, but resource-based support, such as free education, coaching, healthcare, and considerable stipends for the weaker sections). This would have helped society more than just having reservation for every category like EWS/ SC/ST/OBC etc. By the way, don't consider me a bigoted Hindu, which I am not. I am fully supportive of people's rights and also an atheist. I admire your videos on atheism and also think they are perfect on point. Assuming intelligence is distributed equally among all castes, theoretically all jobs must have almost a similar distribution of castes If you take a large company with 100 top executives then 10% or so must be upper castes and 90% must be others no? If out of 100, 97 or 99 are held by 10% upper castes what does it mean?? Or God made 10% upper castes more intelligent? If so he or she is not a fair God no? Hi light, the barakunin had concessions made, with support of socialist and communist parties. Not only that for any normal person it was incredible hard to find out who is barakumin. So no, it was not capitalism, it was actually socialism that helped and special concessions that are specifically made for them. In India it's not that easy to hide the identity, as discrimination happens not just to one particular caste but many castes, and upper castes usually benefit by helping only from their families or related castes. If lower caste has such an advantage, why are no upper caste people marrying from lower caste? You realise that it'll instantly remove casteism within one or two generations with equal distribution of inter-caste marriages. But that doesn't happen, instead we get honor killings. That is because casteism towers over reservation. There are instances where people don't hire anyone when SC slot is open and after time is up, they'll open a spot/post in general category to take someone they like. One of the greatest misconception I feel is India is not backward because of reservation, India is still backward because we are not able to utilise our greatest resource, the human resource. We like keeping lower castes lower where they don't get bigger posts.

If industrialisation will remove racism, those rich NRI and OCI uncles working in cool offices in the USA would not have protested introduction of anti-caste bill. What helps in reducing casteism is a gradual enlightening of society who values humanism over religious diktat. This will take centuries. This will not happen this century for sure. Reservation only mitigate the problem of casteism in the interim because a poor Scheduled caste person will face more intense casteism than a rich Schedule caste person. The general category population is only 15-16% in India and while we do need to support the poor among them with EWS reservation, we cannot just introduce 50% reservation of EWS and stop caste based reservation. If that would be the case, poor GC person would have advantage there as well compared to the poor backward caste person. The battle a poor GC person have to fight is against poverty while a poor lower caste person have to fight both against poverty and discrimination. Even a rich backward caste person fights discrimination, even though the intensity is less. What I wish that should be debated that once a backward caste person have taken the benefit of reservation for 3 generation maximum, or falls in the top 5% of income and asset that they should be excluded from caste based reservation. This is to ensure that the rich among the backward caste do not take all the advantage of caste based reservation. I am already seeing evidence of it. I know a doctor couple who drives in expensive car who have enlisted their son in medical college on the basis of caste reservation. I think something needs to be done to stop these. Something like this is already in place for OBC, but not for SC and ST.

In case people are so dismissive of industrialization , yes urbanization via industrial process is the reason for removing of slavery, or women emancipation movement. Lets just transport this progressive generation to the pre industrial social economic structure and lets see how long will it able to survive before reaching to the same social structure existed before.
