Audio layer. Just waiting on audio, my friend. I animate more in a month than most would in a year so I’m quite literally very eagerly waiting for an Audio layer to be added so I can purchase this immediately.

Callipeg i love this app! Wow. Loving the frequent updates. Very professional for what i need it to do. Does the team have any plans on adding camera layers? I would love the option to finish the animations souly using this app.

Hey Callipeg. I know you Callibros 🤣🤣🤣(see what I did there)are still working on audio and maybe will put it in maybe the 1.7 or 1.8 updates of Callipeg or between those updates maybe at 1.61 or at the end of the 1.6 era of the Callipeg updates.It would be really fun once you put audio since your app is brand new because unlike the other very simple Animation apps like Animation Desk which has been hear for almost five years ( excluding it’s classic version’s years) they promised audio in the future of the app yet it has been five years and they still haven’t put in audio and I know your app is new to the digital animation world and you guys are working so hard to satisfy us with these features in Callipeg, but if there is one popular thing in the animation business it’s lip-syncing because it would be scrawny to try and predict the mouth positions and audio at the same time in an audio app so I hope you will put audio for us in your app because I know you can do it because you guys have proved to us what potential Callipeg has in the 2d animation industry and I wish you good luck. I’m also looking forward to the blending mode you will put in the future for backgrounds and shadows alongside giving the ability to scan drawings and sequences from paper into your app for traditional and flipbook animators you know like what toon boom harmony does.
Can you add a streamline effect to the brushes. Like in procreate. It smoothens lines and is very helpful.adding it to callipeg would make the app 10× better. Also how many gb would a 5 minute video with 3 layers be.

Great app! I am a professional animator looking for an app that allows audio to be put in the timeline to sync animations to. Does this app have this feature and if not does one exist on the iPad?
It’s the size of the shot when I work on it, but it’s not the size of the .peg file when you export it to store it. This one is 1920x1920 pixels with line, colors and shadows.
Hello, you can only import images in drawing layers. The video layer only supports videos. I think you are trying to import a photo into a video layer. Just create a drawing layer by clicking on the brush icon in the layer stack, then create a new sheet and import an image from its radial menu (or just drag and drop your picture from your Photos app in split view to Callipeg’s canvas).
Aw, that’s unfortunate 😕. Is there any reason why the app is designed only for an Apple Pencil? Maybe for the years to come, the app will be programmed to work on other styluses because other people might not have the cash to buy one from Apple Inc. Just wondering 💭

The only physical limit is your storage and RAM memory available. But we advise to divide your production into different shots, and to make one Callipeg file per shot. That’s how a production is made. And shots are most of the time 1 to 10 seconds longs maybe, very long shots are extremely rare. You can watch a movie or anime you like and analyse how long each shot is.
You have access to a calculator on callipeg.com/faq to estimate how many storage is taken by a certain number of sheets. But for a 5 minutes video you don’t use one shot only, but one file per shot. That’s how a production pipeline works.
