It's interesting how the ignorant public never seems to understand the presumption of innocence along side the fact that our Founding Fathers spent years creating the 4th, 5th, & 6th Amendments specifically aimed at protecting us from abuse of power by law enforcement. They always say how they "trust" law enforcement when the whole point of our republic is based on distrust or "checks and balances". Our government is divided between three branches (Executive, Judicial, and Legislative) so they can watch each other. Someone should "swat" your house and demand you be fired from every job and association you are with just to make an example. I think this is a timed hit job given the search's proximity with the recall effort submitting their signatures. I'm going to be wearing "Support Mayor Thao T-shirts."

I’ve lived in Oakland since 1976 and I’ve been a city of Oakland employee for 28 years. People that work for the city and people that live in the city that have been contributors to fantastic things happening in Oakland, know what the media does to cities like Oakland. You’re not going to hear about success stories and people doing positive things. You lived in Oakland so I know you know Oakland is much more than the narrative the media wants you to hear about.

There needs to be a court order to raid someone’s home and therefore you need probable cause. Secondly had she volunteered the information they wouldn’t need to raid her home. Crime is the biggest problem is Oakland right now. Is she going to be tough on crime when she herself is being investigated?
