Los Angeles County Fire Department Engine 18 shuts down a hydrant that was sheared by a CalTrans semi truck on the corner of Hawthorne Blvd. X Imperial Hwy.
Units assigned: Engine 18 & CHP

So I gather LA County carries these tools on Engines, but LAFD only carries them on a light force?

You’d think Caltrans would hire people who know how to drive semi’s. Oh wait, it’s a California ran department, it makes sense now. I’m surprised they still have the word “trans” in the name and haven’t changed it because someone got upset.
