Units due: Light Force 170, Squad 173 & Inglewood PD.
2nd Clip: Squad 173 following up to Centinela from chest pains on 101st St. & Vermont Ave. in 14s area.
Units due: Light Force 170, Squad 173 & McCormick Amb.

Why does the LA Fire rig go Code 3 following the McCormick Ambulance? Doesn't the ambulance have the patient?

yes, the ambulance has the patient. however, squads are a vital resource in any given area, following up code 3 allows the squad to go available from the hospital a lot quicker.

Another reason why they also do this is because the squads are Advanced life support while the ambulance are basic life support.

@@drewp.wiener6402 let me correct myself they do it so that way when the ambulance gets to the hospital code 3 the squad can be there with them to pick up the other paramedic and go available.

Time to break out an old Unitrol from the shops. Nobody pulls over for the wanna-bee Q. When you flip and play game sounds on the road - nobody takes the Squad seriously. Find a Wail position and leave it alone.
