LOVE this! I remember 1989/1990 When most models got the 'Linda Evangelista' chop for their hair! Glad others noticed that, too. Yasmin LeBon had the best smile!!!!
Funny looking back how merchandising was part of the presentation in the way models walked in groups of garments made with one fabric or pattern. Later on I believe a show was a show and if you wanted to look into further more the buyer will go to the designer's showroom. Great memories, thanks for making and sharing these videos!
Stunning collection. Even more so with all the greats: Marpessa, queen of the runway! Classic couture superstar, Gail Elliot. Very young Yasmeen, Jasmine Le Bon. Calvin’s muse…Josie, looking perfect. And of course, all the great glamazons to come. I remember this collection with 20” skirt hemline sent fashion into mass hysteria. Yet it continued right into spring following season. Europe followed suit to amazing effect.
@@AM-jb7cp Thank you but my mother did understand fashion after modeling she was a designer for Gianni Versace. The concepts of fashion changed dramatically. Calvin Klein is a brand with no quality it’s a level with no design it’s just a “simple abstract” for simple minded people. Fashion is not boring and I do agree with my mother who understands true fashion that’s Calvin Klein clothes are just boring plain and simpl, but don’t get me wrong she loved Calvin himself but just not his designs. It’s not fashion it’s a “label with no quality” that’s like shopping at primark #cheaptaste. Designers like Gianni will be remembered. It’s something different Calvin was like your next door person and always will be like that. Gianni clothes will be in fashion until this world crumbles apart - Calvin and many other designers said that themselves- powerful and sexy and glamorous but if you don’t like attention then well you wouldn’t wear Versace. Again I do love Calvin and so did my mother but just not the clothes - they are tasteless and boring. Iman (supermodel - one of my mothers besties till today) said so too. Calvin is a grey guy but just really boring and tasteless clothes.
@@suwaidpuccini6918 to compare CK with Versace is to compare minimalism with baroque...they are diametrically opposite. of course Versace is great and incomparable, but CK is just for other taste (not necessarily boring); anyway I get your point, but It is not necessary to speak bad of one or the other because they are totally different languages.
