All the best girls in the show! I just wish I could see the entire show! Iman, Dalma, Anna Bayle, Karen, Veronica, Cindy, Louise , Christy, Marpessa ! These were truly runway walkers and I think the best time for watching runway shows, unlike the "robots" that walk the runways now, I can barely watch any runway show these days without being so bored!
@Juan Gomez , you are right, I remember Louise first American Vogue cover, ( it was photographed by Avedon, from the shoulders up, and she wore a red flower around her neck). She at that time was on of the few black models who appeared on the cover or editorially in American Vogue.
It's true. Iman and Naomi both agree that the runway back when they were coming into fashion was much more diverse. and it shows in so many of these earlier runways from the 80's and 90's.
It truly is! There were women of color here that I had never even seen before. And they were killing it! And there seemed to be women of Asian descent and Hispanic ! It was amazing to look at. This was an amazing pleasure.
If theres Christy,Linda and Naomi in the 90s...checked out the 80s with Iman,Dalma and that legendary Anna Bayle at 2:22...the most explosive ever....vavavoommm!!
This show was an example of pure,classic American fashion at its best. Though,it should be stated that the exquisite models in this show came from Somalia, Brazil, Iceland, Holland, the Philippines among other countries. I really miss how international the runways were back then. Now, its mostly girls from eastern Europe & Russia with a few Asian girls (thank god).
wow they are all so beautiful and look like real women not like skeletons. I wish models still looked like this the fashion industry looked more fun back 20-30 years ago compared to now.
+Ali Alhadhrami I don't understand why people say this. In the mid 90's there were some very thin model like Jodie Kidd at the time was stick thin as was Kate Moss. So it started long before the models of today. Plus the word "real women" is degrading, since all women are real. The models in this clip are still all very slim much slimmer than the average woman. Lets not pretend they are bigger girls because they are still tiny in real life. I have seen Yasmin Li Bon in person and she is very tall and very slim.
R Si these models are thin I never said they weren't. But they look much more realistic than today's models. You have to be blind if you don't think there is a huge difference.
Louise Vyent was drop dead beautiful & elegant, she made it to the cover of American Vogue, though her career was brief if I remember correctlty. She is Dutch I think.
The Glamorous Days of Elegant Fashion were in the 70s,80s,90s. I wished that we had a Time Machine so I could return back to those three awesome Decades🌹🌹🌹

All my favorite runway girls are in this video, they were all women not teenagers as models are today. i will will say it again, they KNEW how to walk and work the clothes. It must have been a pleasure to see this group of models in any fashion show!!!
Familiar faces like the very young Shields and Crawford was a surprising treat besides seeing the contemporaries of 1980s to 1990s. But to see the three pillars of the catwalk ensemble of Iman, Dalma and Bayle!
@christiandior1947 AND MODELS COULD walk . the runway models today could not and would not be able to keep up with the likes of Iman, Dalma Collado, Anna Bayle, Christy, LInda Naomi,Veronica Webb,Yasmine, etc. I watch this vid over and over just to marvel at how they worked the clothes. They made the shows so much more interesting. I would be boredto death looking at the models on runways today
