Exactly. You would be shocked at the difference in the size of the contracts of a top 5 player compared to a draft slot in the later part of the first round . Players can make up for that difference by playing well and they can make up all that difference in their next contract but that’s years down the road when they are eligible. Just use it as motivation and make all those who passed on him regret it .

Sengun has reported grown to just under 7ft so he’s a legit C now, Bari and Tari are going to run the PF and can flex as C too if they put some muscle on. The real problem is that we need to figure out how to navigate having KPJ and Amen. I think Amen has higher ceiling. I think KPJ would be the best 6th man in the league instantly. I’m sure he would love being the main ball handler and scorer with the 2nd string so that the offense doesn’t fall off so much. But that will never happen

Every year a player or two projected high falls out of the lottery for various reasons. But this one is a real head scratcher. I feel like Whitmore is better than at least 10 of the players who went before him . Sometimes GM’s over think things and a team that is just looking at the talent and upside ends up getting a steal . I think this might be one of those times that GM’s might be kicking themselves for letting this one get past them .
