I made your recipe tonight & LOVED IT! My husband & I are “gringos” 🤣 so I only used 2 chilies de arbo instead of 4. It was perfect for us. Love all your videos (I watched them last night while my husband watched some movie on tv). I have been cooking since very young, but never knew much about how to make sauces with dried chilies etc as you explain. Claudia, I just want to let you know that I come back to this video often because it’s one of my favorite Mexican dishes ever. And your recipe is sooo good. Sometimes I add mushrooms or bell peppers to my shrimp for some veggies. This has become a staple in my rotation of meals and I just wanted to thank you.

I just wanna congratulate you because the way you make shrimp is perfect. What I mean by that is that you actually remove them before adding the sauce. A lot of recipes they just add it with the shrimp and simmer them for another 5 minutes. I’m no expert but I know that by doing that, the shrimps are overdone. And we all know they only take like literally 3 minutes and they’re done! So yes separating them like you do, is absolutely correct

I made this dish for dinner and it was superb. It's devilish for sure, very spicy but absolutely perfect. When I get this dish in a restaurant it seems to have large amounts of oil, where this version is just right with butter. Thank you Claudia.
ive been taking your recipes which I cook to work with me (I'm a bricklayer). Dome are afraid to try it and some love it. Dunno why. Made your Tamales, Birria/consume, coldo de albondigas. Carnitas (pork), and this. One day they will trust me. I get my recipes from the best that ever did it.
