for just the camera the 10x on the 23s makes it win for me . but adding in 8P's SW/AI , "magic" tricks and 7 years of support the 23 doesn't seem so great IMO . everything isn't for everybody so it's great to have choices .

@@JeffB1961lol 7 years is absolutely useless... no flagship lasts that long without damage or completely being outdated in hardware vs software... eg. S22u has expert raw + Astral cam... s21u doesn't... because hardware limitations... Don't buy into nonsense... people who actually buy flagship phones don't buy em every 7 years... most contracts are 2 years, and then they get an upgrade...

@@JeffB1961 it's not even about power using... look at the difference between the pixel in 2023 (pixel 8), and the pixel 7 years ago, 2016... (the first pixel ever) Are you really gonna hold onto a phone that long because the software updates keep going? Because app updates don't... Whatsapp would stop updating on your phone, so would a list of apps... Editing software that's new wouldn't work on your phone at all, like Samsung just got Procreate on its Galaxy tab 8... next step is putting it on a flagship... which will most likely only shop up on the s25/26ultra models- like a lot of features exclusive to the flagship ultras that not even the fold and flip have... Again... don't be silly. It's a marketing stunt to do 7 years... its highly impractical. People don't even keep cars that long anymore...

Agreed. Virtually no RU-vidrs cover that aspect of photography which I would argue is essential… no point having 10x optical zoom if you can’t get a sharp picture of your kid or your doggy playing in the garden or indoors, IMHO.

I answer you. S23 ultra is the worst by far, tons of motion blur. iPhone does pretty well and pixel just excellent. For me the problem with pixel is the underexpose in faces that usually ruins some photos of people with blue or green eyes. Other than that, pretty happy

Try go to camera asistant in samsung and set prioritizing into quality only. The photos are much sharper, less noise and more detail. It is really a big jump than defult setting camera on samsung.

The s23 ultra is far superior with the s pen gestures and utilization when my fingers get tired and for photos from a distance , Samsung health , Samsung flow , Dex , Samsung TV , wireless projection , 10 x zoom , best thermal management, emulator gaming way beyond the iPhone 15 pro expensive gaming , superior multi tasking with exclusive edge panel up to 3 apps at a time , superior in screen fingerprint scanner etc . My s23 ultra is the phone champion on 2023 Pixel 8 pro has impressive AI but the s23 ultra is still the superior device and even better than the 15 pro max The iPhone can't even multi task and honestly apple is based on simplicity and limitation and it should stay that way. For me one app at a time is a deal breaker though. Many features apple introduced like programmable side key and USB C Samsung we had that in 2019 and we've had for years . People saying iOS is better is nonsense and preposterous. Samsung is the king of smartphones and the s23 ultra is the champ barely a comparison

This day and age when it comes to the cameras on these phones, It really is all about personal preference. All of those phones do a wonderful job with pictures and video different levels zooming it really is just a personal preference of what you prefer most. And this video does a splendid job of showing just how good all of those cameras are. I would say the software management and operating systems is really the experience that people have to compare more than the cameras these days. And I love that for us as consumers, hopefully OnePlus and OPPO can really break through and bring the competition to the next level stateside

Great video David! All of those camera upgrades. But the pixel still doesn't allow you to use 2 cameras at the same time. Nor does it allow you to video and flip back and forth while recording videos. Why doesn't anyone make a video talking about that? These cameras supposed to be top notch. And that's a software thing. But they don't include it SMH. Keep up the good work.

My opinion is the Iphone 15 since it does alot of clarity. Dave and everyone I have to ask you guys im doing a presentation (online classes) and our professor wants to to send our presentation recording and post unlisted on RU-vid. At this point it just comes down to preference. Like my picks varied for each segment. I think Apple has the leg up with the color filters you can select for how the photo can turn out. Whether you it reg, cool, or warm. I am not sure if the other two have those same features, but just down to preference. Just picked up the 8 Pro for $400 so we will see how much the camera impresses cause I always sold the picked as having the best camera for the price.

Hi, Daniel! Oh shoot, I may have not listed the Iphone at 48 MP but I can guarantee you that I did utilize the maxmimum fidelity for each phone. I tried to match the lowest fps with the highest quality and 4k 60 across the board where I could. These are really good questions!

Great comparison, Google has come a long way with video. I still think their photos are the best and the icing on the cake for me is their quick shutter speed along with software wizardly for people with kids! Samsung has some work to do in this area. You do get a more versatile set-up with Samsung but I'm not a fan of their saturated and sharpened look. iPhones are adding more features for professionals ie prores and now log support although they're great, I don't think the average user will bother, its all about having the software do the heavy lifting for you. Either way, enjoyed the video, keep up the great work!

In my opinion all of them are great. Choose one and be happy with it. Some pictures may come out better than the others and it's hit and miss. I have seen a lot of comparison and has seen some s23 ultra winning, some Pixel pro 8 winning and some iPhone 15 pro Max winning.

Hi 😊 I bought the 15 Pro Max, good camera but not great, sold that & bought the Pixel 8 Pro. 8 Pro is a better camera for sure, I like the dynamic range on the 8 Pro, however, the indoor pics are not good, and the outdoor pics are too dark and I find myself needing to edit & add a little HDR in Snapseed to make them look ok, I don't personally think the camera is as good as my 7 Pro from last year! I'm going to wait for the S24 Ultra release and see some comparisons with the pixel, I may just jump to the 24 ultra if the dynamic range is good! 🤷🏻

Dave you need to take a close look at the Google pixel's edge detection on the cinematic mode it's terrible it was chopping your ear off and you said it had good edge detection The Samsung actually had the best edge detection in my opinion and the iPhone had the best colors. Don't know what you were seeing or thinking.

I love your comparison and your humor is also why I subscribe 😂😂😂my love for samsung will always make me biased but I think for someone who uses s23 ultra not convincing enough to switch to 15pm or pixel 8 pro. I choose samsung cause still looks good to me, but Iphone have really improved on camera especially the skies no longer all blown out, as for 30x zoom s23 takes it. If only iPhone had ultimate customization like samsung.

I have the Pixel 8 Pro but honestly you can't go wrong with either phone. They all take excellent shots. With these 3 it definitely comes down to what ecosystem you want to live with. I've been on all 3 brands and I don't like one more then the other. They all have ups and downs. Apple trying to trap you in the ecosystem, Samsungs double Apps on the phone, and googles sometimes buggy hardware but hey you got to pick your poison.

I think most RU-vidrs vouch that the s23 ultra is better in low light. You could say that they are paid or biased but if there's a lot of them it at least hold some integrity. I've tried it many times. I believed that Samsung tend to overshapen things but when you capture scenes the AI/machine learning can't recognize, you will notice that the s23 ultra retains those details unrecognizable on many if not all modern smartphone camera software

I use my Pixel 8 pro over my S23U. Pixel gets better battery life, better point and shoot pictures with better color accuracy. I want quick point and shoot so I don't dive into the settings so I may be leaving some on the table. I will be comparing to a iPhone 15 Pro Max soon since I broke my iPhone 13 Pro Max. In the grand scheme of things, all these phones take great photos so I invest more into software integration and ease of use for daily tasks. This makes iPhones secure face ID a huge factor for me. I like a iPhone for personal and I use the Pixel 8 Pro for work.

I think the S23U really takes the crown here. Most reliable in terms of overall use for video/photos.

I use the base S23 and strongly agree with this statement. It's just going to get even better once stable One UI 6 comes out, which I am very excited about. Heard all the improvements to the gallery app, camera experience, performance, and general user experience. Battery life I heard also has been worked on, so I am really looking forward to that even though my battery at the moment is great!

Hey, Nicholas! The S23U is a HUGE heavy hitter. The zoom capabilities and 200MP do great work! All of the phones are honestly great!

@David.AVelez They have. I'm already seeing S24 leaks and just cannot believe the direction they're headed. SD 8 Gen 3 will be a beast. I'm not too happy about the Exynos 2400.(I'm sure you know why I'm saying this), and no problem. I'm just so anxious to get it as it just gets better and better through each beta. Next week, it's supposed to be released, so once I update my phone to it, I am going all out.

They all have a different approach to greatness. LOL hard to choose but basically personal preference. I'm team 15 pro max but the Pixel did better in certain examples.

I have both 23 ultra and 8 pro and man after you use the ultra the pixel just doesnt geel nearly as premium. I dislike the flat display actually. Portraits are way berter on the ultra .

What I'd like to see is close-up shots of people's faces. The iPhone is good at this. S23 ultra softens the faces too much even when smoothing is turned off - the faces look out of focus. And the colours are not natural. The Pixel 7 pro was good at this with good colours.

Personally, I prefer the S23 Ultra, the iPhone is supposed to be the best in video, but for me it never has been (In the world 🌏 I live in, people aren't orange as carrots 🥕 ), what saves it this year is the Log, the Pixel is really not bad, but not yet completely at the level of the other two in video.

iPhone 15 pro max is winner with few things best overall, heic photo formát, 24mpx photos ideal resolution for taking photos better then 12mpx ...pixel 8 pro removed photosphere ...I used that a lot ,and my photos are actually better on pixel 7 pro then my new pixel 8 pro

Ora S23 ultra è buono solo per zoom,secondo i miei test,togliendo "pro Raw,ecc" si eguagliano, anzi lo zoom è dove Samsung è equivalente agli altri....chi fa meglio i determinati contesti,ma non vedo un vincitore assoluto...tranne con update dei dispositivi più nuovi...Considerazioni Personali

This tech is amazing..All phones are good..One just needs to know the device well and one would be able to get the most out of any one of these.. You should have compared 50MP S23U mode as well as that seems to be the most balanced mode for daytime. Apple - Videos, Pixel - Pics, S23U - Most Versatile
