your message is 100% true ... cant find a time were you get a bunch of hot rodders and there is a bond you cant explain... you can be at an event and a total stranger will come up to you and your machine and have a hour long conversation and I always walk away learning something new ... no matter how long you have been wrenching... this is why I love working on my own car and meeting other who share my passion becuase no matter who you are or where you come from your always welcome to the club .....

If you go watch my latest video it is my friend's 1970 camaro with a 400. He has full exhaust but the mufflers have cut outs built in. So he keeps them open. Car sounds good though.

You need 1" 7/8 headers stepped to 1" 3/4 with 3 1/12" outlet ends and then 3" all the way out the back turned down slightly. Cover the bed and a air wing fin on the the back tail. Lighten er up some more and with a 6" cowl hood. Long rail trans cooler on the frame. Set the engine back 3" total. Full Roll cage for stability. Cal trax to the rear. I've worked on these trucks for 40 yrs. Tried a 383, went 8:80's steer strip. Had the 400sb for short time. Best I could get was low 10 even with aftermarket dart block. Light steel crank. Then I did research and built a 434 sb and never looked back. My 91 s-10 ran the fastest quarter mile of 7:59! With boost and big sniff. You should step up and try some of this if you get excited for real power. Er um

3 1/2 geeeez.I feel it all the way here in California.We have lots of quakes here but I can feel the difference lol.All motor that sucker gets up.Ya man it is way different right there.Audio is rough on exhaust.You have to be in the correct position around the car to catch it.Such A great feeling of accomplishment.Enjoy and congrats.Thanks for the videos.I am still waiting for your buddy to call you back out lol.

Not only has my S10 helped me meet allot of interesting people I wouldn't ordinarily meet but building it and racing it has brought me and my boys closer than we've ever been and I owe it all to these stinky air polluting, loud hotrod's and I wouldn't trade a minute of it for anything!

I like the sound of the Flowmasters the best, but they are a horrible performance muffler!!! If I was just going to slap something on as opposed to building a no restriction/low DB exhaust system, I'd probably use a set of Hooker Aero Chamber's or the great flowing Borla mufflers! I can't stand loud ass exhaust, especially when I'm racing, I like to be able to concentrate and "hear" things that's going on with my vehicle.

I get that ya don’t wanna go deaf from driving but the side pipes not only looked cool but from what i could tell on my Bose computer speakers was the throatiest sounding. I don’t have side exits but i do have 1 7/8” headers with 3” pipes that are just shy of 3 feet from the headers collector into single chamber stainless steel eBay special flow master type knock off mufflers and it sounds awesome but i added turndowns but instead of pointing them outward or down to avoid dust I turned them inward toward each other and it helped a lot!!! Now being completely honest if I got a passenger with me I’ve gotta speed up an let off the throttle an coast to get a few words in other wise it’s whole lotta “HUH” and “What you say”!!! Also a little yelling but truly love every moment. Even just cruising with all the thumbs up an smiles an dads pointing it out to they’re sons it really gives you this adrenaline rush and that’s not even hammering on it. This why i feel as strongly as I do on the whole RPM act,cause not to try get too political but these lefties with they’re green tree hugging ways as honorable as it might be the whole ideal is destroying jobs and people like me and others like me ways of life with these not even new laws just new way of interpreting what was already there. They wanna go all electric not caring that we can’t sustain subsidizing the chargers forever and gotta burn something to produce the power cause we don’t have many nuclear power plants and have no plans to build any so why alter something that gives Americans freedom with as simple as filling a tank as well is tried an true an can be clean and has car enthusiasts that brings people together gives gearheads a hobby an something to do on weekends but now you have small shops being handed Outrageous fines that they can not afford they are now in the mist of making it harder to get parts so you have only one option and to be honest I hope they keep it up as it means we will end up for the first time since Ford/Carter with back to back single term presidents and these tree hugger are very likely to loose control of the house and the senate in 2022 so it might be a blessing in disguise. Never thought as middle class blue collar guy would ever hope democrats fail miserably. They have alienated an entire country for west coast ideology with a little dying New York City ideology sprinkled in. Hopefully the RPM act gets put back in and actually passes as at least motor sports an those who build parts an tune can at least exist.

As i'm close to retirement age and will never do it one of the reasons i'm building my truck is to have a reason to show up to the track or to car shows where I get to spend my time with like minded people, fast Sonoma truck in the summer, 4 wheeler in the spring and fall and snowmobiles in the winter, don't think I could have planned it any better.
