As promised, here is the big Tips and Tricks guide for Cammy in Street Fighter 6! Covering a whole bunch of topics but everything is timestamped so feel free to use it(although leave a like why not!). In my time with Cammy my biggest takeaway is I already knew she was top tier material, but I never realized just how easy it all is. I don't mean that in a bad way either, working hard is for suckers. So if you looking for someone who isn't difficult to get a hold of while having all the potential in the world, Cammy is a really, really solid pick. Normally I make guides for the low tier outcasts, but Cammy is certainly quite different lol.
Do you plan on doing this kind of video for other characters? I'd love to see a video for Jamie. I think even if you don't plan on using a character, your guides are just great content, so it would work with the whole cast.
Now that this video is finally done, I am gonna do my best to try and force myself to take a few days off. Don't know if I will succeed, but I do know I am really, really tired right now lol. I remember learning sub zero from you in the injustice 2 days. I'm gold 5 cammy and learned so much in this video! The instant dive kick, backwards switching, and drive rush abuse was super helpful and game changing. Excited to get in the lab and practice it

Im new to fighting games and have been learning sf6 with cammy, and her normals are phenomenal. I raised up from rookie in placement and made my way to low plat in just a week and her normals actually allowed me to learn how to play the neutral game after much experimentation. Im still really bad at it but I'm glad I picked Cammy.
if you want match footage just go watch the japanese pros they can play the characters better than me lol. I am just here to break it all down for people to understand.
This is why im subscribed, i did all of cammy's combo trials, and I still feel like i learned nothing from it, but from this video, i definitely learned a lot and i noticed a massive difference in how i play cammy

I've been playing Cammy to Plat 3 and still have a long way to go. Found this a lot helpful and many things to add to the gameplan. The hooligan setup is fun already but you make it superb. Will practice and try give other people the headaches. 😁
You’re better than me, I’m a hoe bouncing around the list, my tops rn are Chun, Ken, and Jaime. But I’ve also been enjoying DJ, Juri, Kim and Cammy and Blanka. Too many fun options, really there’s only like 1 or 2 I don’t like playing

I really appreciate this video, tho I would kill for one of these videos for Juri. These are the two characters I'm interested in, and Juri feels a little bit more complicated at least to me, my potato brain couldn't figure her out yet completely.
After this video i got my first win in Street Fighter and Fighting game genre as a whole ever, glad i picked Cammy cause she is just so versetile from what im seeing and absorbing, im so glad i found u and that i can improve my understanding cause im totally new to the genre (i dont count when i was playing first Tekken cause that was long ago xdd). Hi Rooflemonger, Thank you so much for this Cammy breakdown. I haven't enjoyed her anywhere near enough for ages as I am doing in this game. Last time I enjoyed her this much was when her "Spiral arrow" was "cannon drill". Back in the Super Street fighter II days. Just like you I still sometimes say Cannon Drill in stead of Spiral arrow. I even sometimes say "Front kick" in stead of "Cannon spike".
This is because she used to say different things depending on the game's region. If the game was Japanese, she'd say one thing and say the other if the game was non-Japanese.
Excellent guide as always! I personally like the Hooligan okizeme gimmicks from her EX Spiral Arrow, but naturally her fundamental tool are crucial to learn as well. I'll be sure to let my friends know, so that they can improve their Cammy next time they play. ^^

Great video! I usually play grappler (Zangief) but in this game I want to switch it up a bit. Have always considered Cammy and now I think I’m gonna go for it

This is just what I was looking for, more of a Tekken player myself but wanting to learn more and learning some Cammy, one question do you have any written content anywhere or ever considered it? Would be awesome to have something to refer to and if not is it something you'd ever consider? I'd more than happily support a patreon or something similar for that for example!
I do have a patreon but I try to make it so that its solely there just to support and if you wanna be in the patron roll at the end. Writing content ive thought about it but to be all the way real there's very little incentive to do so, plus there's no real place that it would have eyes long term. So for now I stick to making the videos. That all said, thank you very much for the support!

FYI the term Cannon drill and Spiral Arrow is used interchangeablely due to ST. In Japanese ST, Cammy says Spiral Arrow, while US ST Cammy says Cannon Drill. Also, Cannon Spike is "Press Kick" in US ST *edit* "Thrust Kick"
Same with Guile’s Flash Kick/Somersault Kick Interestingly enough, in SF6 Guile’s perfect input for the move has him shout Flash Kick, while for the regular input he says Somersault

Another way to perform instant dive kick is to jump forward and immediately perform a circular motion back (225 degrees) starting from the forward jump until you reach back and then press kick. It’s an easier method for those on fight stick.
I didn't know you could tiger knee the dive kick or side switch uppercut with shortcuts. That makes her way easier to use indeed but is not something a beginner would know, let alone use. Hooligan isn't great outside of combos or to bait DPs, a single jab will beat it. Punk doesn't even use it. I still have issues with her in neutral when I move and hit light kick, I often get accidental spiral arrows and get punished hard for it. It happens at least once PER ROUND to the point that I switch characters out of frustration... Still a great video, learned a lot of things but again, not easy to play compared to others unless you're a footsie god. Unfortunately Rashid is about to come out and Cammy's days are over.
See, I'll say that the early on learning curve of Cammy and all her various options is what makes her "difficult" at first BUT once you get the hang of her man she is so simple and dangerous as hell! I felt like I was getting good damage out of little things. However, there are FGC competitors saying that her damage is low? My first weeks of SF6 Cammy were so mind numbing. No matter how many times I would practice her combos in the lab I would always forget what I should be doing once I was in a match. Maximilian_dood summed it up perfectly. CHOICE PARALYSIS! Her routes can lead to just about anything. You can Spin Knuckle, you can Hooligan, you now have the ability to jump cancel into some extra stuff for cannon strike. It was all too much but we'll worth the time once you get her down. Now, I play and she feels so damn smooth. I feel like I'm daring my opponents to throw hadoukens or for them to jump at me so I can dp them. I feel in complete control right now.
Cammy is an amazing choice to learn the game, get used to hitconfirms, drive cancels, dp anti airs and pressure, as this game is very pressure oriented. Just focusing on the basics with her carries you high. Sadly i dont think there's any reason to pick her over juri for tournament players(
I've got a question maybe you can help me figure out, so heavy spin knuckle is plus on block why do I get stuffed when I jab after? For specific example heavy spin knuckle into jab against jp, his jab always beats mine
Does anyone know why it switched from Cannon Drill to Spiral Arrow??? I can't seem to find an answer. Also peculiar is Thrust Kick became Cannon Spike. Soooooooooo why aren't her specials: Cannon Drill, Cannon Spike, and Cannon Strike?

In the 3 level Ult for Cammy, do you know how to do the different ending of "Lock On" or "Execute"? I've been looking all over and can't find the answer. Thank you.
I wanted to play Cammy so bad. This is my first time really playing a SF game. I’m trying to learn her and the game but man, it’s like beating my head against the wall. Everyone says she is so easy and good but I just cannot figure it out. Whenever it’s “my turn” I struggle to confirm and cancel of short range normals and I just get my ass tossed. Is this a sign she is not my type of character or should I stick with it ?
A combo question. How do you cancel combo her dp into lvl3 super? Every time I try the usper whiffs. Is it just cancel it faster? Is there any input shortcuts to it?
