There was quite a bit to cover on the Campaign Series ongoing work update, lots of goodies in the works. I'm beyond grateful we're still making progress! After that, we continued into the second Hue scenario and the ebb and flow of city combat. The Marines aren't faring very well, but we did managed to get some reinforcements. I did notice a landing zone was MIA, so will need to do some edits. It's easy to see why this battle lasted so many weeks, the urban fighting is brutal!

Playing a lot of "old school" wargames like Combat Mission or the WDS/Tiller games in which the briefing screens are always tiny boxes, it is quite a revolution to finally have a briefing/mission select screen that not only can be made bigger but also gives you more info, i.e. using the space more efficiently. So many great changes are coming to the Campaign Series that seem tiny for people new to wargaming but are huge quality of life improvements for more experienced players.

Yes, I agree! It was a pleasant surprise when Petri released some Alphas to try, I'm very excited to see how they turn out!

By the way, I think it would be really cool to have a storyline in which NATO attacks WP for once. Kind of a pre-emptive strike or maybe there was a revolution in Poland or Czechoslovakia or East Germany and the new leaders ask NATO for help. After all it's fiction and it always baffles me why we always go with WP invades Germany and NATO has to defend. P.S.: The idea of having the US forces battle their way through to Berlin to ensure supplies to the citizens of West Berlin is already quite original!

Yes, exactly indeed, that's what I was thinking for additional storylines! So many options and they don't have to follow the usual storylines!

yes been having that thought to something around Hungarian Revolution of 1956 or one of the earlier revolutions, could do a lot from a game play perspective with that with the partisan warfare stuff. though I would want east and west Germany in the game as factions or at least a generic pro NATO and pro pact faction to show that these units are from a different nationality

@@bradenatkinson4784 I have a Hungarian background, (and German), so am keen on a Hungarian revolution scenario that has some Commandos helping out in the west of the country, or even an airborne task force (or multi national force). Incognito of course and then a couple of different options if key units are captured that could trigger a larger war.
