No, the audio recorder works independently. You have to 'sync' the audio and video when you edit. Check out this video to see how I do it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sw914bw_pGw.html
Great review! Really loving this camera so far. I have the v30 but the non-waterproof aspect without a case was kind of a pain. The v40 is great when you know you may encounter some water and the stabilization works pretty decent even while mountain biking. Very impressed with it so far. Thanks again for a great review.
Many thanks for your thorough review. I've been looking at action cameras for a while and this one looks great. I've just ordered two with 32GB cards for only £151. Really looking forward to giving them a go, filming my Renault Twizy!
You have given a very informative review. This is a great Action Camera, but if you want to use it while SCUBA Diving, (which I do), you need to change out the bolts and dome-head nuts, they are not Stainless Steel, not even the 304 grade, you need Grade: 316; fortunately they pop out of the handle and can be replaced with 5mm 316-SS bolts at 3 x 40mm & 3 x 50mm long required, don't forget the nuts: 2 x 4mm regular nuts, (for Bike Handle Mount), and 7 dome nuts for the rest, Cost AUD$6.30 no sweat! P.S. take your body parts to make sure the dome-nuts/nuts fit, there are some 5mm that don't fit.
Please don't buy this camera. I bought it about 3 months back , but used only twice. Video and image quality is decent for the money we pay. But build quality is pathetic. I will give my experience:- 1. Last month, suddenly I noticed a crack in the plastic rim around the display. I had not dropped it or mishandled it . Just like that the rim came off. I applied Fevikwik and repaired it. See the photo. Though the look of the camera got spoiled, functionally it was ok. 2. Yesterday I used the camera in wave pool for the first time. I used the camera without casing ( it claims 10 mtr waterproof without casing). In the evening inoticed water vapour inside the lens. See the photo arrached. 3. Today morning when i wanted to open battery case, it was so hard due to usage in water, it didn't open. Then i tried to push hard using thumb, the lid broke!!. The plastic used is so flimsy, it just breaks .. build quality is horrible. Function-wise camera is ok . Image and video quality are decent. But waterproofing is questionable and build is pathetic. Please don't waste your hard earned money to buy it. My sincere request.
Nice Video, what I found is, Does the video become Pixel grained when moving, because I am planning to buy this cam or the X40 variant for moto-vlogging. Please let me know if it does the Job.
Hi , very useful video, I have one of these but I find that downloading any pictures or videos to my phone is very slow. You seem to be much quicker at this, am I missing a trick here?
Can anyone tell me if this can be connected to a tv via hdmi with clarity ? I want to transfer music notation from a book to a tv screen, normal video cameras are not clear enough, thanks.
Translation: I really congratulate you on the professionalism of your review, one question ... can the remote control be adapted to place on a selfie stick? Thank you! Reply: Great idea. I never though of that. Yes, I think you could easily attach the remote to a selfie stick using the included velcro straps.
This thing has a $30 coupon off right now! I got it for $100 bucks for my wife for xmas ! Might get another one for the heck of it so my wife and I both have one. Great review, thanks :)
This camera wrost camere I ever seen as compared to Other.... Do not buy ....waste of time... Camera look like 2 or 3 mega pixels and company show 20 mega pixel...
The photos I took at the 20 MP setting are 5120 X 3840 pixels, which equals 19,660,800... so almost exactly 20 MP. Now those numbers may have been obtained through interpolation, but still they are in fact 20 MP photos.
Unfortunately poor audio is a common problem on many of these lower priced action cameras. That's why i always use a digital audio recorder when i need to get good sound. something like this: amzn.to/3tftUEl
I can't say for sure as I've never used the V30, but looking at the specs of the two cameras I'd choose the V40 simply because it's waterproof and it has the very useful dual viewscreens.
Thanks for the good review. I bought it few days back. Though the camera is good, i am facing a typical problem. After i take a photo, the screen brightness reduces. But if i take further photos, photo exposure and quality remains same as before, but the screen remains darker ( not fully dark, but looks as if EV has reduced by 2 steps). This problem is prominently visible during night indoor photos. Has anyone facing the problem? Please advise me if you have the solution. Thanks
Yes, I agree. I shoot a lot of scenes in 4K, but edit on a 1080 timeline, this gives me much more flexibility with cropping, zooming and panning, and the finished video uploaded as 1080 looks really sharp.
Not sure if you saw my reply. Thank you for the size. When buying the cover do I order that size or when buying are they giving outer diameter or inner when saying purchasing a 25mm cover. Just want to make sure since you know more about it than I do.
Thank you for a super honest review. I've got an older Camparkn but want a second one to capture from two angles and I fancy a dual sreen as well for getting in boat shots framed perfectly. I'm just waiting for Black Friday to come along.
Hallo ... I want to know at time 12:17 you used the microphone of cam ?? So it is very good. But with wind .... can we use the microphone of our smartphone and it will be on the video of the cam ???
v40 icatch v39a vs x30 lindenis v5 ? which is best both same price , which has the better sensor ? I feel the v40 might be weaker as money would have to be saved somewhere for that extra screen ?
Hello Sir. Ive watched youre action cam vids and im impressed with all the effort you put into the full coverage review. I have a question between. The campark x30 and x40 which did you prefer? Im trying to decide between the 2. Is the v40 worth 10$ mote. Ps im buying it for my son to mount on his bmx bike and on the kayak thank yoy
If the camera is to be used a lot around the water (mounted to a kayak) then I'd recommend the Campark V40, as that camera is waterproof without a housing.
@@TheOneCanoe you're welcome, I also have an action camera, I have a Surfola sf230 but there are a few negatives with it, like it doesn't come with a battery dock charger, the 720p 120fps is way to cropped inwards and 4k 30fps doesn't support EIS at all.☹😠
Sorry, I can’t really answer that, as I only have an iPhone. I would assume the app is available on both the iOS and android operating systems, but I have only tested it using an iPhone.
Both shoot good quality video, but for me the V40 is the better camera. Front facing view screen and waterproof, and better build quality make the V40 the obvious choice
Marco - it's probably because you have the EIS turned on. The Distortion Calibration does not work if the EIS function in engaged. Try turning the EIS off and you should be able to use the Distortion Calibration at all resolution settings.
In my tests...with a fully charged battery doing a non-stop recording of 1080-30 video, I was able to achieve a recording of 2 hrs, 12 minutes and 34 seconds.
Excellent review. I was more impressed by your presentation rather than the camera itself. Cannot really expect anything more at this price range. Thank you so much. Liked & Subbed. Love from India. :)
That's odd. If you've turned all three sound choices 'on' Shutter, Boot-up and Beep, they should all be audible. Make sure the Volume setting is turned up also.
Good channel you have here, with great info. I just watched your review of the XTU action cam, both appear to have the same physical camera, but with different software. Which one in your opinion is a better action camera (both about the same price point) Thanks!
No question about it...the XTU X1is a better camera. The V40 is very good, but the XTU X1 is much better offering more video resolutions, higher frame rates, a 10X zoom setting and most important, the XTU supports an external microphone, which the V40 does not.
Great review, I'm not tech savvy at all, I'm looking for a action camera for when I'm out and about cycling with my grandson also when I go on my mini break bike packing tours, is there an even better camera for my cycling at a sensible price, gopro i just can't afford Regards Steve.
This camera (Campark V40) is very good, I'd also recommend the Victure AC940, but the best bang for your buck is probably the Crosstour CT9500 or a Vantop 5C.
@@elevatedemotions4548 Oh, you must be referring to the W-Fi app? I have only used that app on an iphone, so I'm sorry, I do not know how well it performs on an Android device.
Both are good cameras. I think you can't really go wrong with either of them. They are both durable and waterproof. I really like the front facing view screen on the Campark V40, however when it come to video quality I personally think the Victure AC940 gives me slightly better image quality.
great review my friend, i've subscribed. The front viewing screen is also what got my attention, is this the only campark camera that has that feature?
I have one being shipped but was wondering if you have the out to out dimensions of the lens so I may try to find a lens cap.Unless you already know how many millimeters it is.
Not really sure how this ‘snap-on’ lens caps are sized. The lens itself has an outside edge to edge size of 25mm, so the ‘inner’ size of the lens cap has to be 25mm,
One of the best reviews I have ever seen so far ... very informative and to the point .... Thank you for all your valuable efforts behind this Sir🙏 ....:) Liked and subscribed already...
No, that camera does not support an external mic. BUT, I would highly recommend the XTU X1 camera if you need an external mic input: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8lQR1AA2Sa0.html
I agree, they made a big mistake by not adding a microphone input Jack. Perhaps trying to incorporate that feature while maintains a waterproof camera was not feasible.
Wow, that’s nice to see that they’ve included a dual charger, and a lens cap is such a simple item, but I’m surprised that hardly any camera companies include them.
No, there is no place on the camera istelf to attach a lanyard. What you could do is thread the tripod adapter into the bottom and attach the lanyard to that.
Great review Wayne, as you always do! I'm thinking of filming some canoe trips and I'm a very non technical person. Do you think this camera would be a good choice or would a GoPro or Sony be a better investment? Thanks, take care.
Hey Donald. No doubt about it, this is a good camera choice for around the water as it is waterproof and seems to be pretty solidly constructed and the touch screen is very easy to use. For the money it's a great camera. I also use Sony and GoPro's , and granted they do cost more, but they are excellent, and produce superior video and audio compared to a lot of the 'budget' cameras out there. What may interest you is the XTU X1 action camera. It is waterproof, has dual screens, shoots really high quality video and allows you to plug in an external mic. I'll have a full review of that camera shortly, in the meantime you can check it out here on Amazon: amzn.to/3dDMPCn
Unfortunately this camera does not have a zoom function, in fact it does not even have different lens angle settings, The only lens is the 170 degree wide angle lens.
No, That camera has no microphone input port. For good audio it's best to use a separate digital audio recorder then sync the audio with the video when you edit.
