How do these compare to the Hondeydews? I have them now, but I was curious about the Mammouth! I like the bass over treble, and do not like Sharpness. For example, I do not like the DT990's due to the sharp sounds.
How does this compare with the Dorado? The Dorado 2020 is my favourite Campfire IEM and one of the best IEMs released in the past year. I loved your review and felt that you were one of the few people who did this IEM justice-- very curious how the Mammoth stacks up against it.
I have Polaris 2. Like its bass, but sensitive sometimes its highs. I almost bought the honeydew, but saw they released this. This is less sharp than Polaris2?
Since you were one of the few reviewers to have a positive reaction to the Dorado 2020(which I own) I wonder if you might offer a comparison between the Dorado 2020 and the Mammoth?
i really want these, and if i get them, i am going to listen to Stop Breathing by Playboi Carti like 100 times in a row. the bass in that song is already brain-melting coming out of basically anything, but out of these, it must be fucking mental. love the video! :)
Why did campfire audio go full on pyramid, all seeing eye and other secret society symbolism on this particular iem!!!.... I like my campfire audio cables too. They're really lightweight, supple and smooth to the touch.
Would this be an upgrade or sidegrade for a Mangird Xenns Up? I got the Xenns Up as a general all-round IEM for music listening with very good bass when the source material has it. I'm a hardcore basshead but i listen to audiophile music (vocals, jazz, classical) as well but I am also into 80s new wave sync-pop/EDM/techno/house music as well as a true blue Rage Against the Machine fan. Would this be worth getting just for such bass-focused music? I'm just wondering if the bass is that much better than what the Mangird Xenns Up can do.
I really like the caveat for bass music only. All-rounders, I think there's much better but Campfire always seems to have tuning options which I really like. The Holocene review which is also going live now is the complete opposite. Thanks for the kind words and glad you enjoyed it.
This vs Dorado 2020 and Vega 2020 is what we need. I feel like the Dorado 2020 is the best comparison as a hybrid set up its either been described as the best bass (quality) CFA does or a warm analog perfectly fun and relatively well refined Soundstage performer that's kind to bad recordings and an all arounder that's not overly analytical(laid back). I'm personally looking for a bass cannon to replace my Polaris V2 I gave to my sister and the Bravado or Bravado MK2's could be it if not the Mammmoth. (I currently have Andromeda Gold, Solaris SE and EE Nemesis; very high quality bass and very capable of quantity but only the amount on the recording its not boosted)
Found a guy selling these and andromeda & Solaris all within £100 n I think I’ve got too much choice. Mainly listen to rap n hip hop occasional classic but it’s so far between wha would you recommend?
Yes the solaris are a big step up in fidelity. If you are talking about the original Solaris, nothing on the market sounds like them, they are as spectacular as ever with that soundstage.... puzzles me that they wouldnt have just kept it the same and introduced the solaris 2020 as a different name. I think there are a very few earphones that should be worth a lot of money for their rarity in future ears and thats one of them. A future collectors item perhaps. The mammoth are a more specialized to the bass side.
@@AudioLevelsBesides being more bassy are there any other major differences like soundstage, etc. I listen to a lot of EDM so i don't mind a lot of bass.
As others have said..... please could you do Mammoth Vs Dorado 2020! 🙏 There are a lot of critics of the Dorado 2020 but you put it up there as one of your favourite IEMs and you clearly love this Mammoth too... both have been described as bassy. Is getting both unnecessary? Thanks!
This is going to be my next ear buds / iem. I’m pretty excited it’s going to be a big step up from my mater and dynamic mw series buds they sound good but are to quite for me and I want more bass and that wired connection and use them with my dragon fly dac I’m honestly stoked my big go to headphone is the V-MODA m100 master through the dragon fly and some eq
Did you buy them ? My setup is Campfire Audio Io with the Dragonfly Red ...tbh I can't tell the difference with the Io and the Kz Zs10 pro. Curious to see how you got on with the Mammoth.
How would you say the Mammoth compares. to the Shure SE846. I have pair of the Shures that are getting long in the tooth and I'm looking for a reason to spend money I don't need to. Have found a pair of Mammoths for 33% off and wondering if its worth a go for that price. Appreciate your thoughts on how they might compare.
Since there is a venting hole in the mammoth, I wonder if it leaks sound out, or if it lets sound in. Does the mammoth have bad noise isolation? Every other perk about the mammoth fits my needs.
True even their cascade headphone wires are terrible but their atlas cables are very nice IMO I actually love my Atlas cables but I did get another cable with a 4.4 but nonetheless the atlas cables feel very premium.
I also have this headphone and I can't get the impact of the bass hit. Where am I going wrong? It hits soft and not saturated. It has final-e bits attached on it.
@@whatisthepoint814 No i dont think an amp would do anything, they aren't particularly hard to drive. Whats source are you using? Put the comply tips on (will have lower bass but we can rule out fit issues with them, see if it evens out the rolling.
@@AudioLevels I connected the headset to my oppo brand phone (bass was very low) then I bought an apple 3.5 mm dac yes it's much better now but I still get ineffective beats sometimes :/ I don't know where I am going wrong
I have the Go Blu, it has a lot of power, I have the Honeydew which has about the same sensitivity and using 3.5mm it is very loud at around 25% volume. It sounds great, I prefer it to my BTR5 and es100, it has a neutral warm sound. I get 13hrs play from it using LDAC. It is tiny, smaller than a Zippo.
I was wondering if these ar the best 500 ish iems with the deepest, clearest, tight bass but also resolving and clear? Or should I go with tribrid? Problem is my ears are a bit small as the Blessing 2 Dusk are a bit large. Can you compare the mammoth with the Andromeda 2020?
Id rule out the Andromeda if I were you and looking for bass. Clarity is certainly there. IMO in campfire, the bass standouts are the Mammoth and the Vega. Vega is one of my all-time favorite basshead iems. The other advantage with the vega is that they are very small so would work well. The Mammoth are a little large. Most of the tribrids are what I would call mid-sized. Dunu 3001 are good should size and bass wise.
