Neat little stove. It was great to see it side-by-side with the Pocket Rocket 2 since the shape is so similar. My Pocket Rocket 1 will probably last forever, so I can't see replacing it, but this is definitely smaller. I use an Olicamp mug that fits on a Nalgene, not titanium but basically the same functionally. I've seen where people put silicone tubing over the handles. Olicamp actually makes an identical-looking ti cup to yours, so I'm guessing it's a generic cup with lots of brands.

Thanks for covering budget priced equipment. Not everyone can afford the high-end stuff. What about using the little stuff sack that the pot comes in as a hot glove?

A full-fingered cycling glove might do the trick as well.

I keep the long handle spoon with the food instead of with the kitchen.

Exactly my stove/pot/spork combo. The long spork reaches down into bags of rehydrated foods, and 1/2 gallons or ice cream (1/2 gallons are often cheaper than pints at places like Dollar General stores).

The stove is already 5 cents more expensive since this video got posted!

The Evolved 750ml pot is nice, with small features like a wooden lid handle and bail for cooking over a fire if you want to. And it's only $32 on Garage Grown Gear. I can fit a 110g gas canister, lighter, BRS stove, and 3D printed gas can stand all inside the pot.

i have a similar kit, 750cc aliexpress ti pot, brs 3000 ti stove, 4oz cannister and jetboil cannister stand... cheap, light and functional... a friend of mine hade been ussing the brs stove for years now and never got issues, even usin it with a 1 liter pot...

1:09 canister stoves are quite common in Western Europe as well, a lot of them historically being the Campinggaz brand. I have that BRS Stove to, not had to use it much but the few times I did it worked great (I think I learned about it from Ridesofjapan
@franky12
@franky12 Месяц назад
I also used the BRS stove. I agree that the BRS is cheap and very light. However, it is very loud and not particularly efficient in terms of gas consumption. My favourite screw-on canister stove is the Soto Windmaster. IMHO all Soto stoves are great...

Sounds like I "need" to upgrade or do I mean "want"? I have the 420ml version of the Lixada and it's brilliant; however if I want to do a coffee and porridge at the same time I always find it difficult, but not impossible. I have the perfect carrying solution now so think I'll go for a larger version... as for the carrying solution... Meth burner etc inside the pot, the pot in that silver clothing, tuck anything else inside the cloth around the pot, grab a suitable length of voile strap/tailfin strap and secure it around the top straps of the tailfin aeropack.. it ain't going anywhere!

gas is always less UL than fuel, just by the container weight alone. Check out an Xboil fuel setup, contained in a 400/500ml mug - much lighter

Yeah, found the BRS-3000T for 10€, the Lixada for 14€ and the spork for 2,50€ on Aliexpress, amazing! thanks for the super useful video. Superb kit for less than 30€. I'm interested in the FlipFuel, I wonder how does it work, since my logic says both canisters even out... but hey, you have a video about it. You the man.

Put the "receiving" canister in the freezer, and the "sending" canister in the sun, it works. But never use 100% propane as "sending" gas, unless you want to have an IED in your outdoor kitchen 😂☠💥
