Back in the summer of 1980 after graduation from high school , my buddy and I put in at Jefferson, Texas and paddled a 16 ft John boat down the Cypress river to the Caddo lake. We camped along some of the small creeks. Had a great time. After that trip he and I left for Marine Corps boot camp.

LFG: A few years ago I put silicon bunk guides on my trailer bunks. Loading is so much easier with them. Easy to install, low cost, minimal upkeep, saves my back every time I use them. You might want to check them out. Thanks for taking care of Rob. We all need guardian angels!

Larry Stolzman I put them on my trailer last year love em. Just don’t unhook the winch until in the boat is in water. It just flies off the trailer and is a dream winching back on.

Casey bjorklund: Hi Casey, how does he make that work? Does he cut the pipe in half? If so, what does he use to cut the pipe? Grandpas can make some amazing things. Make sure you take him fishing as much as possible. He’ll love it. I know because I’m a Grandpa and I love it when I fish with my grandkids. P.S. Let him catch one once in a while.🐟🐟

Good for you Justin. Fishermen may tell tall tales but by far the nicest people when it comes to helping each other. I ran out of gas in my big motor so all I had was the kicker w a head wind 100th of a knot per hour I had at least 10 fisherman stop and offer assistance. I declined and just trolled w no luck. Didn't realize it at the time but heard it is required by law (wa.st) to aid assistance to a stranded boater.

Clear your camping area of leaves or your going to have ticks trying to sneak into to your sleeping bag and chew on the boys when your sleeping. The last time I stayed in a tent, went through a storm like that. Ended up floating around the tent all night in four inches of water on my air mattress. Went out the next morning there was a 1 1/2 foot thick tree laying across the camp site 2 feet from were my head was. Bought a truck, with a 8 foot bed with a shell ( sliding windows on the sides with screens, no bugs ) on it and stayed in there to never tent camp again. Memory foam bed ( heaven ) 100 foot treble light, fan ,cooler,Gatorade bottle to pee in. Oh and don't forget the Campfire Sandwich/Pie Maker Cooking Iron . Weekend Warrior camping experiences priceless

I grew up fishing Caddo lake. It can be a hard lake to fish because everywhere looks like a good spot . And yes you can get lost easy , that’s why we use GPS when we go . One of my favorite places in the world

Huge fan of the show. Many many blessings to ur whole family. I live in Monument Valley, Utah. Planning on subscribing to MTB in the middle of the year, and planning on taking the family out fishing next year. Thinking of going big with the fishing trip. Catfish are too slow for caddo. Gators eat em all over a couple of pounds. Small and largemouth bass and crappie nearly anywhere on caddo

Yep I was born I Brenham TX. Lived ther till I was about 38 fished hunted all my life ther love my Texas but at night those Volkswagens with wings come out and that's it been froggen at night with lights it gets tough at time's lol. But others no place like home..

I got some of your googan stuff the other day. Haven't had time to use the stuff yet but I will. Also I found a big pond down here just outside of corpus Christi that is loaded with BIG bass in the 10 lb. Plus range. I have been wanting to fish it for over 40 years since I first saw it when I moved down here from Oklahoma. Should have stopped earlier. Take care
