Wild camping Scotland camping in the rain at loch Doon i used my Oex bobcat 1 tent Trangia cooking chicken and mushrooms #wildcamping #wildcampinguk #wildcampingscotland
I’ve just picked up the Bobcat1 for exploring when I’m out adventuring. Seriously psyched!!! That Loch looks delightful and on that rare warm and sunny day worthy of a cooling dip before bedding down! Thanks 🙏 for capturing your visit!
One of the things I like about the bobcat is you can set the zips to open the door at the top like a letter box and look out under the outside flap but still stay dry
Lol, nice production at the start walking in, looked a fair trek😉. Good old camping in the rain, canny beat it. Hopefully catch up for a camp in a few weeks after lockdown, atb👍🏕🔥😎🤟
Hi Stu, just watched your video again as I want to do more camping in Scotland. I have to say I don't do early mornings, I make sure I don't have to rush off. I like to wake up gradually and have breakfast ect at my own pace. There's nothing better than being Inna tent when it's pissing down 👌 Take it easy atb Taff 🤠👊
You say you are bored in the tent when it's dark You can download RU-vid videos to your phone to watch later ... The Scottish Wanderer is worth watching. Similarly, with the BBC iPlayer app, you can download BBC programmes to watch at your leisure. I like to download radio programmes, from the BBC Sounds app. Finally, podcasts are great to listen to.
Thanks for posting, another cracking video as ever, got the same tent, and when I get a minute free, am off out around Fife where I live on the coast. All the best mate, take care of yourself. Nick
Spectacular views ,original way on checking campfire chicken ,keep tasting until fully cooked ,brilliant ,love the sound of rain coming off the tent but like you not keen on the wind ,I use whisky to drown the noise out ,night all has no effect with me ,great video ,very entertaining
Never camped in that spot you have got the choice of 4 or 5 fire pits around you. It’s well used. Good video looking relaxed it’s always good to see you out especially for some of us that can’t right now. Stay safe
Aye Stuart .I could not agree more.Loch Doon is a beautiful place.I heard about the reputation which it has developed but have to say i have spent many a good night there and never saw or heard any trouble.I did however have to fill a couple of bags with someone else's rubbish.Good to see you out camping again. ATB
Stu, great views from that location and it looked isolated with very little chance of being disturbed. Not great weather in UK forecast for November 2020 a very mild month. You are definitely a man of leisure 😉 Stay safe atb Taff 🤠
Nice spot, no, beautiful spot to camp. You guys are so lucky just been able to walk to a camp spot and set up like that. I’m in Australia everywhere is fenced off or run by national parks. But you guys just been able to hike and set up like you do that’s great and those highlands areas are just amazing. My wife’s family are Scottish, they’re all over Scotland, Dumfries, isle of skye, Edinburgh. So next year we are maybe planning a trip there.
Hey Stuart, I am still here. I was trying to make you Spamfamous, a while ago. Do you remember? Their loss. Happy to see you and Ollie still out there. Hi to Sarah. Connie
It’s a dreich day! Stuart Lol , I was out in Wales my local area on Monday to Wednesday and it Rained none stop for 48 hrs , it was that fine rain , the once that soaks you through and heavy at times , it was Dreich ! :-D ATB
Hay, Bro, enjoyed your vid. I did have some trouble w your English, however. I probably understand 3/4. I’am a little deef - that doesn’t help. I’ve got the OEX Bobcat. But when I went to order it(I’am yank) I couldn’t find it State side. I had to order it from some place in England and pay big postage. Ouch! I bicycle tour Stare side that’s why I bought the Bobcat. Reading the comments- looks like you have a lot of fans. You carry a lot of camping stuff with you. Hope you didn’t have to walk far. Om!
You've got to get out when you can. In bed with Covid me, apart from the breathing it's just like a flu. But I've got all windows open for plenty of air. I don't really feel the cold. Just tired. Looks great there pal. Enjoy
You've inspired me to get out there as soon as I can. Planning a Scotland winter wild camp...just not sure where yet. Oh, I was wondering, what rucksack are you using?
Been camping and trekking for years... Only started hot tenting about 18 months ago and already most of my gear is tilted towards the hot tent theme. Don't get me wrong there's still a time and place for tarp shelters and hammock camping I'm even partial to a bit of bedroll/bivvy camping. I was wondering if you could get your hands on a *Bereg up2 mini* to review and test out with one of your stoves? I'm saving for one now, should have it for next winter. If you haven't seen them, I think you'd get a real kick out of it.
Russian Bear Market ... Have the best tents I've ever seen. If you buy from the makers in Russia its cheaper and better quality customer service (when it comes to spare parts or replacements should you need them). Sputnik 3 looks pretty awesome.
Man I wish we got that much rain here! Lol I don’t think I’ve seen any videos of yours with thunder and lightning though… do you get much lightning there?
Hey Stuart, I love this video mate, it's been a while since I've left any comments, nevertheless you guys up norf will always get a thumbs up from me down sourf!) By the way Stu. I think you're supposed to swallow them nytol, not put them in your ears to stop the noise!😂 Please don't stop the winter camping. Keep em coming mate. Atvb. Take care, Steve. 👍👍
I don't mean to sound rude, but my Camp cooking surpasses yours. However there is no way I can better your views, I can't wait to explore Scotland. I originally come from Cornwall and I have lived in Wiltshire since 1987. I have been to Australia but haven't been further North than York on our own Isle. I do enjoy your Videos and mainly because of the views, Scotland looks stunning! Thanks for Videos, stay safe.
Hi Stuart. Still enjoying your vid's so keep them and the spam coming. Also I'm selling my Hilleberg Allak 2 with footprint which has never been used. Would you know anyone that may be interested? keep them real.
