I just moved to Southwest Arizona after living in Fla for 30 years. I am so ready to explore this GORGEOUS state! And I'm about to do the same! One thing they can never take away from us is our ability to enjoy nature!! It's our divine right. Enjoy the Journey! xoxo
@@anthsallwonky that's so amazing!! I looked into a little more in terms of solo female traveling and decided it's a bit too risky for my likes :( Glad you had amazing adventures!
@@DriftingSandMonk I do see the security concerns for a solo female. my tip was mainly to use well lit rest areas and make it seem like your not alone. i always pondered trying to put together a car camp group just for safety and fun. Mayber someday
I don't want to sound discusting but talk about bathroom shower how do you? Do you use a camper's potty or portable shower what's your arrangement. Just keeping it real.....nice video I am from Long Island NY
I used alot of public bathrooms. I found that grocery stores and gas stations like loves or pilot usually had clean bathrooms. I am focused more on traveling than camping out in one area for days. Although I have found free campgrounds that have vault toilets that are useful. For showering I have a solar shower.
Just bought a Chevy express chariot conversion and taking my savings to add solar and deck it out! I thought about doing a camprolla set up, but I'm 6 foot 3! I could never rock out on the camprolla bedroom because of my height, however the camprolla living room will suit me just fine. Awesome video! Thank you for sharing!
I'm only 5'6" so it works for me. I just wanted to show people my set up and to inspire people who want to travel it can be done. Hope you have some awesome adventures. Thank you for watching.
@@anthsallwonky in regards to traveling, I think of the quote "if there is a will, there is a way!" If I make it out to Arizona I'll look you up! Have a great day, week, and month!
You are a doll. My car is the same size. A subcompact. Not enough room for 2 people. Tools a paint sprayer etc. Only what we need tho. He is a painter and handyman. My husband refuses vanlife. Financial issues to. Next year the rent gets higher. We might be nomads. He doesnt like the outdoors of anything. The rent has already took part of our grocery money. So we eat at whataburger once a month. At home we eat pinto beans rice eggs and tortillas 7 days a week. No meat at all. 5.00 for 1 lb. Of ground meat. Have a few bills to pay off plus car payment 431. 22 ins. Is 183.00. Renters ins. 25.00. Burial policy on meof 37.00. Light bill 100.00 plus gas . groceries hair cuts 40.00 for both of us. Plus next month in sept. I have 40.00 for 2 doctors appts. For the year. Oh. Laundry is 85.00 a month to. Plus 50.00 to pay my credit lawyer. My credit is a mess since the pandemic hit town. And a repo. To. So total of bills only to pay is 5500.00. When i get my credit gets solved. Then i will try to get a small loan of 10.000.00. Pay off the bills and have one loan only. Then pay about 3 or 4 hundred dollars monthly. Its better than the total now is 1200. 00 monthly. Also i pay the rent to. We go to food banks for can goods only. Dont trust the meats. My husband and i dont have family or friends. Been there done that. We have helped them in the past. Cant help us now. They moved in another town. Tried churches to. Dont qualify because i have a soc.sec. check. So i told my husband next year will tell us if we stay in apts. Or be a nomad. We wont have any food at all. The stinking rent keeps going up. So i told my husband its your choice not mine. I do believe food is more important than paying rent. My husband has not worked since 2 months before the pandemic hit town. What little money we had saved was gone. We have nothing. So i said to my husband. Nomad life will put the rent money in our pockets for food. We can eat better for sure. Even eat 3 times a month at whataburger for the meat.we get a no.2. Double meat combo. Delicious. We have to stay in town. Cant travel at all. We have choices during the day to park and enjoy picnics etc. We pick out 7 places to stay daytime and nightime. Apts is good hospital parking is good to. Also a gym membership. Planet fitness is 10 min. From where we live now. Post office regular street address. Not a p.o. box at all. Creditors dont like it. Doctors to. Of p.o. boxes. I told my husband. We might be homeless. But not houseless. The car is a roof over our heads. Out of the rain to. Plus protection of cold weather. The heat is another problem. Shade is a problem where we live. Very little of it. Malls is very croweded. Cant stay long in resturants. Regular home cooked resturants is now 15.00 a plate of anything. Havent at there in 4 mo. Last we paid was 32.00. Plus a 3.00 tip. Food is delicious. At whataburger so far was 17.00 for both of us a few dollars for tax. I told my husband. Since we have to eat what we do now. I would rather be a nomad and get the bills paid faster. The money is in our pockets. The rich get richer and the poor gets poorer. Thank you. Love you all. May god bless. Prayers and jesus is with you all and us always. Keep on keepin on. When you get depressed. Immediately pray to jesus. Also a hour before bedtime pray. It will help you sleep better. Ask for peace at rest. Thank you and everyone.
yes. times are tough right now. I am thankful I have little debt and no rent right now. its a simple life but I get to see a lot of beautiful places. thanks for watching
It doesn't fit that way. What I did do was move the front passenger seat up and I could fit a milk crate in there with some pillows on top and that extended the bed length a bit.
thankyou everyone with all the interaction on this vid. when I look back on this vid it shows how far I've come and how quick life changes . I am currently at 33 states so we have 15 more to see all 48 why don't you come along with me
There were only a few times I actually experienced freezing temps. Mainly on the high desert plateau of NV. I had enough bedding to keep warm, would make hot soup/Coco. I also had a few emergency hand warmers in case I couldn't start my car. Thank you for watching.
Hi , I like your camprolla , nice set up , just one thing I would like to know, What is the frame of your bed , did you remove the sit , there is play wood?
I just put some pillow down in the recess and then just a thin camping Matt with my bedding and sheets over it. Its not the softest but I always preferred a firm mattress anyway.
Yes. The Camprolla gets great gas milage and it sleeps very well and blocks out alot of road noise at night. Im actually 43 states in and 20,000 miles this year. Im in Montana right now.
For this first part I only took out the one side. Later on I did open up the whole back area and also reduced the amount of stuff I had. I do have a video of that more recent set up.
My advice would be to make a fun vid about something you like or some place you like. Use the different modes, cam settings follow, tilt lock, fpv and get used to how the camera tracks and moves. It takes practice but I know you will make some great content if you just stick with it. :)
It did make it through all 48 lower states. It was a good car for traveling across country although it would be rough as a long time car life option. Thanks for watching.
Hi, thanks for sharing your setup. I also have a Corolla, and I am planning to take it on a road trip. Did you do your window tinting yourself? It’s looks pretty well done, where did you buy your tinting kit and material? Also can you share how you setup your bed? I couldn’t tell if you had to unscrew the seat out completely or you just had to fold it down, and lay the bedding over? Thank u!
The tinting was on the Corolla when I bought it but I always recommend getring it professionally done. I did fully take out the back seat in order to have that space for the bed. What I use is just a camping pad with a thick comforter in top. Will do a vid with more detail soon. Hope you have a great road trip and thank you for watching.
@@anthsallwonky Thank u, I got over a month before I head out on the road, just learning as much as I can. Looking forward to see how you did your backseat bedding setup.
At first I didn't remove the other back seat just in case I wanted 2 passengers here and there. I took it out later tho. The front passenger seat I left in so I can still drive a friend around even with bed set up. Thank you for watching.
I did something similar, but removed the passenger seat and rear seat. Then put a piece of plywood down. I made a small box to support the plywood where the passenger seat was, this also works as a storage container. I thought about putting insulation in the trunk because it can get cold
it definitely can get cold. "I found that out in Nevada on Hwy 50. I thought about doing a build out but for the kind of traveling I was doing this worked out fine. hope you're having nice travels.
It can get lonely bit as ive been on the road more theres almost an unspoken comradere with other travelers. Hope you see some amazing places and have safe travels.
I hope he does. Refer him to my bed set up video if he wants to see how much space there is. Thank you for watching. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-erKSfMaY_ak.html
For heat I have an electric blanket which I plug into my Jackery so theres no cost there. For AC I haven't had to run it all night yet but the most ive used is around a gallon. I have little fans that usually suffice.
Nice little setup. I’m honestly gonna be moving into my car full time travel the Untied States while doing DoorDash to make money so I can have gas money and food money and pay bills ect. I wanna see the world while I’m still young.
Awesome. I did insta cart while I was traveling. Rest areas and truck stops are clutch for sleeping. I recommend welcome centers when you cross into a new state. A good spot to sleep then get information in the morning. Good luck on your travels and I hope you have an epic journey.
Im not sure what doordash makes but with instacart I can do 3 or 4 shops and earn $70 for gas and food for a few days. Granted the Camprolla gets around. 36mpg.
@@anthsallwonky I really wish I could get a small tiny camper Van to live in full time and travel. But I’m sure the monthly payments are expensive. Plus I’m still making payments on my car.
Pretty neat. I didn't know about those cigarette lighter hot water makers. And you only removed one seat back. And a little screen that hooks up wifi. Question, can you keep the ice cooler down by your legs and still drive easily? Or do you have to move it for driving? Oh and how was the temperature that day in Arizona?
I can't keep the cooler down by my legs if im driving. It was nice that day in Arizona. This was back in January. It was around the upper 70s in the day. I do have a completely different set up now tho.
