2020 Toyota Camry. Same code. $162 Diagnostic check at dealer. Since the check engine light was on, I took it to Autozone and scanned it for free. Thermostat is not covered under warranty, dealer stated. I purchased the housing assembly with thermostat for $70.00 at the Toyota Dealer. I will attempt doing it myself. (Fingers crossed) Thank you for the video! :-)
Update: 6 1/2 hours total. Make sure to bleed radiator after filled with coolant. Check Engine light is gone! So far so good. Be very patient in taking housing out and placing new housing as well. :-)
Hi I have questions I'm living in Maryland. I have 2022 camry se 2.5l I have front car accidents. I replaced radiator and coolant fan . car have 4800 miles. Problem is coolant fan work all the time. I beeld coolant?
@@ratedm90 The thermostat for this car is not like old school thermostat you need to buy the housing with it came to like $80.00 because we could only find it at Toyota.
The whole assembly But it’s so hard to change on jack stands 2 8mm nuts It took me 8 hours with out a left This is not DIY REPAIR My car didn’t have check engine light but the heater wasn’t work and the temperature gauge was all the way down.
It’s not that hard however you do need to buy this item, it might take about 3 hours plus, but if you have any extra money take it to a mechanic because the inside bolt is hard to reach… good luck if you do.
Ahh Canadian mechanic! Funny as I’m in Ontario on vacation at the moment 🤣 My 23 Camry has a tendency to fairly quickly heat up to about 140 degrees and will fluctuate between 140 and 180+ for 10-15+ minutes in weather under 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Any idea if this could be a thermostat related issue? After at least 15 minutes it’ll stay rock solid at operating temps. Don’t understand why the car will go from warmed up to pretty cool just from sitting at a light or cruising down a long hill/mountain.
Sir salamat sa video mo. Ask ko lang sana toyota camry 2018 xse din ako. Ask ko lang sana like nasa half pa yong coolant ko. Gusto ko sana mag refill pero wala pa namang nag indicate sa screen ko pero gusto ko lang lagyan para safe. Ok lang ba yon?
