Bought this for my small back deck in the Eastern Sierra. ru-vid.comUgkxoHYZbq5g9fkcAtinlTqstNlje-UQkCHN We get A LOT of HEAVY snow so I was a bit skeptical but it was worth it! After the first storm of the year this has exceeded expectations! It throws snow very well, even 10-12” + that said the more it piles up the harder it is to maneuver the machine. It is exceptionally light weight and overall exactly what I was looking for. If you have a large amount of snow and a lot of area to clear, you may consider something with a drive engine to help maneuverability, but for decks, second stories, roofs etc, you can’t beat the light weight to great snow throwing ratio. Side note, the chute rotator is a bit flimsy and it initially didn’t seem to work, after a few uses it seems to have loosened up.

Nice information. Past vehicle tracks in snow this year have thawed and frozen, ribbons of ice. Thought about buying a snowmobile, but what about 1/4 mile stretches of gravel road between drifts, wouldn't work. Next year will be a game changer, ordered X4S track kit for my 700 king quad Tuesday. Great anticipation! So. Oregon

I also have a 05 700 king quad. I’m looking at getting a set of track too. Only thing is the no power steering makes me nervous if it’s too hard to steer and I don’t like it. I mainly plow my property and ice fish with it. I’ll be pulling a wheel house ice shack to. I’ve done it with chains on tires and a dollie, that quad does well, more than expected.

Got a set for my Alterra last year, not a mechanic by any stretch but installed them myself in 5 hours. Other than the prockets being a nightmare to line up with hubs no problem. Do need to buy a track tension gauge however the rest are basic tools. Love my Camsos.

Where did you get your groomer? Also how fast do you pull your groomer? Do you use the groomer for snowmobile skis or all?

Hi! It's a home made groomer. I usually set it into low gear and go slow in 2nd speed. I use the groomer so i can go take a walk in my trails and keep those snowmobile bumps flat.

@@CarQuestion They are my dads. He tried CamoPlast (now Casmo) -- the ones that came with them. They had bearings go out, lost bogey wheels, etc. He switched to DuraTracks and a duraclutch and first the clutch broke, then the tracks had issues. Bearings all went out. Granted he drives it year round on tracks. Approx 1500 miles on the tracks when the bearings went out. He recently got an entirely new set from Duratrack, and they are totally different than the 1st generation. He also said the Camso tracks do MUCH better in the snow than his Duratracks. He said the Casmo are longer or something. He said he got stuck in places where the Casmo EASILY went through. To get to his deer stand, he had to have someone with Casmo tracks drive a path to and from his deer stand, so he could make it to his stand with his DuraTracks.

Have tatou tracks on my 2005 artic cat 500 for 13 years. Put 7k miles on mostly plowing and not one problem. Not even a bearing to replace.

true fact! As much as a whole ATV probably a 2000 maybe, but a brand new ATV today will pass 10,000$. considering that the tracks cost 4000$ vs a utility snowmobile.... the choice was easy for us. Tracks are less maintenance than a brand new snowmobile.

They hold their value pretty well. See them used for roughly what you pay and given the ability to change out the bearings, second hand ones will be close to as reliable as new.

@@Steveriknows You should see what skis cost for an airplane! Similar deal, a small market, and if the product is "done right" the cost is reasonable, for the relatively few they will sell.
